Chiefs Palko told he is starting in Chicago. - Page 5

I am trying not to read too much into this.

The first thought that comes to mind is that Haley really likes Palko, which is what I have thought all along. I didn't think it was a move by Pioli to keep Palko. I thought it was Haley choosing him.

The second thought comes to mind is that if Palko is starting over Orton after these last two games, then we cannot read anything into what Stanzi is or isn't. Clearly Haley will continue to start guys he likes even when there is a better player waiting.

Now, admittedly, I think Orton is mediocre, but mediocre is better than Palko. It has only been a week. If Palko starts and has another horrible game and Orton doesn't come in.... Pioli won't have to worry about firing Haley. No one will be able to find where I buried him.

(For the KCMO police department, FBI, etc.... the last line is a joke. I live in Atlanta and I am not wasting the gas to drive up there and kill him.)

Another Chiefs fan from Ga. Good to meet you sir. I live in Cartersville and am the butt of many a joke for my unflinching love for the Chiefs. On topic: If you are going to commit homicide....start with Palko. We can wait until Cassel is healthy to kill him. I'll rush him, you can finish the job while he's shitting himself from the one man pass rush.

Palko probably knows some intern at some Chicago news blog, and told him Haley said to be ready, just in case. Now, the intern has broken his first huge NFL lead, and will have his own radio show in a month or so.

Who really cares? This season is lost. Maybe Orton having less than a week of practice has something to do with why he is ahead at this moment.

Playing Orton would probably just reduce our chances of having someone besides Orton/Cassel starting 2012 week 1.

Something tells me he already knows he's getting fired regardless of W/L over the last 5 games.

He hasn't been extended, and I don't see Pioli being the type to employ a lame-duck coach.

I hate to say it, but I am starting to feel this way. If Palko plays, I have no interest in this team.

Sweet. So after Palko throws a pick on his first play, and fumbles the handoff on his second play, Orton can come in down 14-0 and proceed to throw three more picks, but actually complete a 50 yard pass.

Still in the hunt for that top 5 pick...
