Offensive Coordinator Discussion

3 names Williamson seems to think are in the lead for the job are Hue, Dirk Koetter and Zorn.

I'm with Mellinger. I don't think Zorn wants to call plays.

Out of who's left, I guess Hue is the best option. His team was very out of sorts fundamentally this year, but in the past, his offenses have been fine.

What say you?

I'd rather have Hue than Koetter or Zorn or Daboll.

I'd like to have Saunders or Jackson,... but I'll be damned if ANYONE isn't better to have here than Bill Muir. Get this bastard off the payroll asap!

Saunders had a future HOF TE, a great QB (in that system), a great RB, and a great OL (including 2 future HOFers). And let's not forget TRich's production during those years. And Kennison was a 1st round draft choice that finally was able to blossom under that system. I liked Saunders as OC, but let's not act like he didn't have talent.

Everbody forgets about Jason Dunn. He was a big part of DVs offenses in KC.

I wonder if the lack of progress on the OC front means we know who we are going to hire, but they are on a playoff team.

There might be more than 2 on that OLine. Roaf, Shields, Wiegman, doubtful but maybe Waters.

I highly doubt that Wiegman goes into the hall.

Top 10 offense in Buffalo & Coached Rodgers & Flynn.

How do you know? PSU that's a pretty good interview.

You show me one other job that he's interviewed for in the NFL.

PSU? Really? 10 months ago, that was a good interview. Clements was also begging for the job.

Look, he mgiht turn out to be a good coach, but the odds are, he's going to stay as the Packers QB coach.

If he's a homerun, we've moved those fences in quite a bit.

His record compared to a guy like Zorn or Daboll though? It's not even close who's the better candidate IMO. Honestly are you excited about this coaching staff? I'd be willing to bet they won't win a playoff game.

It amazes me when teams go after an OC who has HOF type QBs. I could be a great OC if I had Brady, Bress, or Rodgers as my QB. Let's see what play should we run here.....maybe a pass. Let's try that one.....picture me throwing a dart.

Rodgers drops back...pass complete to Jennings, he makes move on the defender, runs through a tackle at the 25, to the 20, 15, 10, TOUCHDOWN. Man I'm an amazing OC.

I would much rather have a guy who has proven to have successful offenses with QBs who are not elite. They may not be elite offenses because they have not had elite talent, but they know how to get production from an offensive unit. There are usually only about 3-4 elite QBs in the league at any one time. The other 28+ teams have to figure out how to get it done with a good QB and a good offensive unit. This is where you need a good OC and this is where most NFL teams live year after year.

Lets just hope the Colts release peyton, and we can just have him be our OC and our QB at the same time at the 2 for 1 price rate. I bet Clark likes that idea

I don't even know who's going to be on the staff yet so how in the hell could I express my happiness or discontent with it?

John Fox just won a playoff game with Tim Tebow and I thought he was a terrible HC choice last year. Way to premature to even discuss that when the entire staff isn't finalized.
