Funny how you got 25 votes in the first round while I got 7. 7 was last place in your bracket.

And.... your point? I didn't make it out of the second round. Sorry.

I obviously understand how butthurt you are over how this whole think worked out. But blaming me for the results and the consequences is kind of silly. The the polls have been legit, and public. You know exactly who voted for you. I was just one of many. And I'm not responsible for the temp ban. Talk to the mods. You know all this.

And really, some time away from here would do you some good. I mean, don't you need to look for a job?

I got no problem taking the hit for the other 3 just vote for me everybody... even if you actually like me, I will take one for the team, I am sure the banning will mean more to them than it will to me.

I see what you're doing here.

However, if people vote then this will be seen as a popular and good idea, which will only encourage it to continue. Sorry, I won't be a part of that.

I "believe" the banning thing came from the mods. I'm not sure what to make of that if it's the case. I have no problem with any mod it just seems odd. I guess it would be easier to not have to deal with a few people so... whatever.

At least I lost heh.

edit.... makes more sense after reading Flopnuts post in the OP.

Mods should not be white knights for everyone. Temp banning people in hopes that they will change the way they post or for vindication for someone who hasn't learned to stand up for themselves is not what this place is about. Things are changing, and change is good. However, I don't think it should be "controlled." It's my understanding that this is why people left the old KC Star board and created this place.

People left the Star because it took 24-48 hours to get any kind of moderating at all. Then when the moderators did show up they just banned everybody involved and deleted every thread that wasn't football related. Denise became friendly with the Star gal who was responsible for moderation and things usually went however Denise said they should go. The Star didn't have a user/moderator. This person was an employee with other responsibilities so they just deleted all the headaches rather than dealing with them.

My take on the bans:

I think it is a good idea, otherwise people will just try and win the douche contest for "fun."

If there comes some kind of badge of shame from it, then people maybe won't 'try' and win it so much..

Like coming in fourth, in our division? Regardless of Babb's article, I'm so ****ing glad Haley's gone! How many players want to listen to a golfer?

Actually it took me a second to make the connection but yes....

Finishing 4th in the division, Tyler Palko as QB, Getting Orton then keeping him on the bench an extra couple of games .....All these things are equivolent to 'Douche of the Year' and amounted to the 'ban' on Haley.

Good point.
