Gronk broke forearm on New England's last PAT to put them up 59-24

Your #1 weapon should never be on the PAT team. Gates doesn't do it despite being our best blocker. I'm betting Tony Gonzalez didn't do it either. You have more than enough bodies to fill out a PAT team without Gronk even if it means you put a DL in there to do it.

And yet, when Richard Seymour was the fullback in goal line situations and got hurt when someone rolled up on his leg, BB got reamed for that too.

You can't sit there and think "well, this guy plays 60 snaps a game on offense, running down the field and blocking, and he's the best guy to put on PAT, which is like 5 snaps per game -- but WHAT IF HE GETS HURT ON PAT DUTY?!?!"

Any player can get hurt on any play. That's the reality of the NFL. Sometimes shit happens.

If it makes you feel better, we basically lost Gronk for the SB last year and I'm utterly convinced we would've won if he'd been 100%. He's that impossible to deal with, and the game was that close.

Oh, and Mankins played on a torn ACL all of last year. Everyone was wondering why he was only good, instead of awesome, and then we found out after the season was over.

And of course we lost Welker in the last game of the season in 2009, so we didn't have him in the playoffs. This was pre-Gronk/Hernandez, so our entire offense was basically nothing but Moss/Welker. Not that we were going to do squat that year, but still.

None of this is to complain about our injuries. All teams have them, but don't for a second think the Patriots HAVEN'T had their fair share of injuries the last few years.

I'm sorry but last year's super bowl was not on Gronk..brady made a bad throw to a wide open welker. Even with Gronk gone for a few weeks, I don't even see this as a big loss, they're offense is too potent with Ridley and Lloyd.
