If we pass on him, how far will Geno fall?

Let's look at this from another angle. Say we take *insert player here* instead of Geno Smith. Who grabs him instead of us? I say the Raiders won't be able to not take him, and we get to pay for it for about a decade.

This is a quarterback league. There is no position on the field more important to a team. I still say Geno is the pick based on that fact alone, but if I'm wrong, there is going to be a team picking not that far behind us that will thanks us greatly and swipe him up. Opinions?

That trade may actually happen, IMO. If it does I see Foles AND their 2nd rounder included in the deal for the switch of 1sts.

Classic Oakland pick. They like to reach for players, and to do it at skill positions. Taking a QB would excite their fan base, sell some tickets.

Does no one else find it a little unsettling that so many grown men on this forum have photoshopped pictures of Geno smith in a Chiefs jersey for their signature/avatar?

That seems like something girls who watch anime would do.

It better involve more than that.

To trade from 6 to 2 last year, the Rams got:

1) a swap of 1st rounders
2) a 2nd rounder
3) TWO future 1st round picks

If you go strictly on history, next year's 1st rounder is worth a 2nd rounder this year. And a 2015 1st is worth a 3rd, which is about what Foles would likely bring.

So we better get the Eagles' 4th overall, a 2nd rounder this year, Foles, AND a FIRST ROUNDER next year.

Says the guy that not only has an average NFL receiver in his avi, but refers to him as a "stud".

Yea, except it's just an actual photo taken of the guy.

Sweet Willie is on the "I like this picture of this model, so I photoshopped myself in it next to her" level of creepy.

Well, I figured last year was special due to the two future elite QBs sitting at the top of the draft. That kind of compensation won't happen this year.

I actually went by this year's NFL draft value chart. (http://walterfootball.com/draftchart.php). Our 1st pick is worth 3000 points. theirs, 1800 points. AT best, though somewhat unlikely) they can command a mid to late 2nd rounder for Foles. Say around 400 points. their 2nd round pic is worth in the neighborhood of 540. So they will be giving us back 940 +/- instead of the 1200 difference. If they are in love with Smith and Reid is in love with Foles, I think both parties will disregard the remaining 260 points.

I admit, this is actually making it very favorable to the Eagles. So if they throw in their 3rd rounder as well (250ish) this deal will be a definite go IMO.

So I guess I adjust my prediction to this to be fair to everybody:

Chiefs 1st <===> Eagles 1st + 2nd + 3rd + Foles

I think he falls out of the first round if the Chiefs don't draft him first, which they won't IMO with the first pick. Geno Smith isn't that good
