Your turn to play John Dorsey

With the 2013 draft in the books, how would you have picked if you were in the Chiefs position. You have to take the Alex Smith deal, and no Branden Albert deal, who would you have picked in each of the Chiefs drafts spots?

Complete speculation based on nothing but homerism.

Fisher might be a huge bust who's unable to handle the higher level of competition.

He's no sure thing.

OH, but Geno is? I wanted Geno, but you are ridiculous.

No matter how good Fisher is, you'll always hate him.

But a line with Fisher, Albert, Hudson, Shwatz and Clabo, left to right, could be the most dominating OL in the league.
It very well could be, but what about Asamoah?

Geno is definitely not a sure thing.

I'd rather gamble on Geno than an OT though.

He hasn't quite developed, so a season on the bench could be just what he needs.

Why do we have to take the Alex Smith deal?

Who says any of us would have played our entire hand right after being dealt.

offering up the #34 pick meant anyone else trying to top that would have to enter into the 1st rd. That was not going to happen. Which is why San Francisco immediately said " SOLD to Kansas City. Lets get this in writing now and we can make it official in two weeks."

Look, Smith could have been had for the #63 and a pick next draft. Anyone trying to top that would have to enter the 2nd rd.

Look at what was given up for Palmer, Flynn, Kolb. Alex Smith is better then those QBs but really, Palmer and possibly Flynn would have fared just as well, maybe even better in Palmers case had they been QBing the San Francisco 49ers. Lets not forget that is a very solid team all around and proved Alex Smith wasnt much of a factor if any in their success. QB was deemed the position the was holding them back from being that complete SB team.

Lets admit that the #34 (almost a 1st rd pick) and next years 2nd is way too much. they could have spent that 2nd on any of the top QBs and still upgraded the position from Cassel/quinn. and still have their 2nd next year. I will admit that Alex would be better this year and probably next then any of the rookie QBs.

It appears they are all in on Alex Smith and feel like if they can build a strong team around him they will be a contender. Clark Hunt Im sure is on board with this plan sense its instant mediocrity and he doesn't have to wait through a rebuild/developing process.

Let's not exaggerate. Alex Smith is by no means a great QB, but he was by far the best veteran QB available. We will see if they're all in on Alex Smith. I could see a scenario where they're not.

I admit that his status as "inferior black specimen" escaped my evaluations.

That's hilarious considering Manuel actually went ahead of him. In the first. Both QBs are black. In case you didn't notice.

I can only speculate, but it appears that concerns about his maturity is the primary reason he fell the way he did.

But his maturity issues are not at the level of a guy like Jamarcus Russel, Ryan Leaf, or Tyler Bray.

He's guy who has tremendous potential, who could have been allowed the time to mature and grow in the right situation.

I believe KC would have been the perfect situation for him.

All sorts of smart in this post.

You fail to comprehend: Geno is not 6-5, 240. He's a "slight" black guy. So he's clearly not as good as that FREAK Manuel!
