Chiefs 3.5 point favorites on the road @ JAX

Pretty much everyone here knew we would be the favorites...

Is 3.5 points too little? About right?

Will we win by 4+?

If so can CP make a ton of money on this game?

What say you, CP?

Shall our fortunes ride together?

Florida is not the deciding factor. Dan ****ing Marino at home is the deciding factor.

The chiefs have played two games in Florida in the last decade. Four ****ing head coaches ago. You act like that has anything to do with KC this year. The training camp has moved, the camp practices and philosophies have changed. The players and coaches and equipment and travel and everything.

But yeah. Florida is ****ing Mordor and the very air is a poisonous gas. Not with ten thousand men could you do this.

ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY WALK INTO FLORIDA AND WIN ON THE ROAD!

Thats why the jags, bucs, and dolphins all have perfect home records going back to the dawn of time.

Sappho, you are wasting keystrokes on this bunch of scientifically illiterate morons.

You might as well be reading from "The Origin of Species" at one of their Wednesday night prayer meetings.

Exactly. The odds of this team winning this game in Florida are not in any way affected by what happened to other teams in other games at other times.

If you flip a coin 9 times and it comes up heads every time what are the odds it will come up heads on the 10th flip? Still 50/50. The previous flips have no bearing on it.

I'm not saying they can't or won't win here. I'm simply stating that history says that the Chiefs have lost a lot more than they have won when traveling to Florida. That's not my opinion, it's a fact.

Not sure if anyone has read "The Signal and the Noise", but that book can really help you differentiate between good and bad statistics. I'm not saying we will definitely win in Florida, but the arguments being made in this thread for us losing in Florida are not statistically significant.

It is a fact that has no bearing on the odds we will win this game.

A cursory look at pro football reference says he was 0-2 in Florida through the 2008 season. If I knew how to filter I'd give a more definitive answer. Lost in Miami his first season as HC and the other in TB.

Edit: take that back -Andy is roughly .500% in games in Florida among all three teams and exactly .500 against Jax, 1-1 with a win in 2010 and a loss in 2002. Also a loss in PHI in 2006.

Those kind of facts are brought up by ESPN and gamblers looking for a reason to validate their choice. It comes off as arrogance and dickish more than intelligent and well thought out.
