My buddy is a big Denver fan and he says "I don't see any reason why Manning can't play another 4 or 5 years". I think that is wishful thinking on his part. I think after next year he strongly considers hanging it up. Especially if he has another Super Bowl win under his belt.

We'll see, but if he's healthy and feels good about coming back ... they'll pay him. I don't know if Brock is ready or not, or if he's even the answer as to who replaces Peyton when he hangs it up. Maybe there will be another veteran with a few years left that is ready to find a new home at that point.
This might have changed, I haven't paid that much attention to all the contracts coming up ... but, contractually speaking, most of them for the studs all come up in the next year or two... it's all built around Peyton and likely a very major rebuilding unless they restructure a number of things. Found this on Manning... http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports...cture/2193609/ May 2013 --- The Denver Broncos added an insurance clause to quarterback Peyton Manning's contract as protection in case Manning could not play in 2014. The Broncos submitted the contract with revised language to the NFL on Thursday. Manning's salary and salary cap numbers do not change. When Manning was on the roster at the start of the 2013 league year in March, his $20 million salaries in the upcoming season and 2014 became guaranteed, though 2014 could be voided should Manning injure his neck in 2013. With the revised contract language, the Broncos have insurance protection in case of any major injury that would prevent Manning from playing. "It has no effect on the financial aspects of Peyton's contract, and it was expected once the guarantee came into play," said Manning's agent Tom Condon. "They'd certainly want to protect themselves in case of injury." Manning, who turned 37 in March, had no health issues in 2012, his first year with the Broncos, and passed a physical after last season. Manning is signed through 2016, though each of the final two years of his contract (each with a $19 million salary) could be voided if the team cuts him before the new league year begins.

Decker is awesome! 24 TDs last 2 years. He is a high end #2/low end #1 WR......perfect for us since we already have that in Bowe. Those two would play off each other well i think....just a question of cost. But to take a 14 TD weapon away from Manning to our team?? OF COURSE....Im all in. If it can be done then pull the trigger. Absolutely!
Austin is very injury prone...this isnt a comparison!! You would take Austin over Decker?? not me....no way

2500 yds and 24 TDs in last 2 years speaks for itself.....he would produce in KC too. He would make the offense better, no question. He would make Bowe better
