Steel Men Are Coming

Business is ****ing booming, Steelers up 20-3 only 17 minutes into the game.

Ya'll wanted Pittsburgh. 219 yards of offense in the 1st quarter.

We'll be fine?

We'll find out next Sunday.

Was just listening to Pittsburgh sports radio guy and he said that he was worried about arrowhead because he thinks that Ben specifically, has a hard time with crowd noise. Says that it isn't uncommon for Ben to quiet his home crowd when they are on offense.

C'mon Arrowhead Mystic!

The Steelers haven’t expressed any concern about quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s status for Sunday being at risk as a result of the foot injury he suffered late in last weekend’s win over the Dolphins, but they had him take Wednesday as a rest day to be sure that all was well.

Roethlisberger’s time off came to an end on Thursday. He was back to work as a full participant as the Steelers continued working to prepare for their trip to Kansas City for the divisional round of the playoffs. Running back Le’Veon Bell returned to the field after getting Wednesday off as well, leaving tight end Ladarius Green as the only notable member of the offense not practicing.

On the defensive side, defensive end Stephon Tuitt, safety Sean Davis and linebacker Vince Williams were all full participants. Tuitt and Davis were limited on Wednesday while Williams didn’t participate at all.

Linebacker Bud Dupree was listed as limited with a shin injury after not appearing on Wednesday’s injury report.

So the Steelers said that the best way to quiet the crowd is to come out in the no huddle offense. It appears that they will be doing just that.

Knowing this information, what do you think is the best way to counter that on defense?

Tough to counter... either have prepackaged subs ready to roll in at a dead sprint, with their counterparts knowing exactly who is to come off at a dead sprint

Or, judiciously burn a timeout or two to make changes when it appears the offense is on a roll and the D is lagging

Pittsburgh's defense defending the screen pass this season via @PFF_Sam:

49 of 54, 359 yards (7.3 YPC) 3 TDs, 1 INT: 105.2 passer rating

You can bet Andy has known this since early last week. We could destroy the Steelers with Andy's screen's.

I hate that since Jamaal for injured we don't run the RB screen anymore. Hopefully Andy brings it back in the playoffs.
