Not that I mind football talk. But can we keep the big-headed Charger fan in the 10pm thread?

I think Philip Rivers and LaDainian Tomlinson will lead us to the promised land.

Hell, the first three times I went there, I thought the place was called "the bird"

Because that is the nickname of the bar for the locals. Everybody calls it the bird, or the dirrty bird.

I doubt it. Even with all the talent it will be hard to come close to last year's performance. LT had a record-breaking year in 2006. Those don't usually happen back to back. Forget about 14-2- the Chargers now have a bullseye on their backs and have lost the entire coaching staff. If I had to guess right now, I would say 9-7 or 10-6 and bounced out of the playoffs by New England for the second time in a row.

The way I see things now, even before the draft. For an AFC team to make it to the playoffs, the will have to go 11-5. 9-7 WILL NOT get you in. 10-6 might get you in, but I doubt it.

Football season seems so far away. Probably because it is.

How many wins do you think the Chargers will have in 2007?

I'm not a big baseball fan. Going to games is fun though. Even minor league games (that's all Springfield has).

Yes, this year they had a lot of breakthroughs. Normally we get ahead and give away the games, this year we battled back and won games we would have normally given up in. I feel that we are right there as far as our best opportunity to make it.
