*.* 2013 General Fitness Thread *.*
Welcome to 2013! Now get your ass in top physical condition!
**From the 2012 Thread** If you want to get back into lifting, or need a new lifting routine, START HERE: http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wi...inner_Programs If you have questions about the SS programs, look here: http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started. Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE: http://madcow.hostzi.com/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point. |

Hey man, the magic wasn't showing. To answer your question if you wanked in a room with Nicki Sixx, George Lynch and Beiber gangbanging "old lady" Carolyn Reese you might burn more. haha. I'm just joking with all this, but people do make a lot of mistakes and excuses. I don't even have a good HGH connection like you could get Dane.

Congrats. That's nice work, seriously. If you have a food journal, I'd love to see it and your routine. It's always interesting to see what works for different people. 3k calories of ketosis doesn't work for me. I'm happy it did for you. But, this isn't a maintenance diet. I can't do ketosis and play soccer seven days a week AND lift. It just doesn't work. I have to have carbs and gain a little fat to get bigger. So, that's why I had to start on this.
I don't normally eat this low, but it's not a long diet (six weeks), nor is it 1200 every day (which you can see by the daily calorie posting). And my "lipids and shit" aren't ****ed up at all. UD 2.0 isn't "fitness bullshit." It may not work for me, but hey, that's the experiment. If you think it's crap, take it up with Lyle McDonald. He has a FB and Twitter that he responds to regularly. You are certainly free to debate the scientific merits of it with him. Hell, you can go to Sherdog, BB.com or any other number of sites that have UD 2.0 reviews, most of them overwhelmingly positive, and debate it there. |

Get me a job training Chris Brown, I am pretty poor. I have honestly slacked off the last few months, but you can't get in too bad of shape quickly once you've been in it. This bourbon tonight will have have me looking dry in the morning. You catch a lot of shit, and I don't always agree with you, but you do crack me up a lot. The new secret to getting "peeled" seems to be that Krokodil stuff from Russia. You will be very peeled then.

I think you're misunderstanding. Would I normally eat a Weight Watcher's Ice Cream cone? Hell no. They're not good. But, if you're doing an experiment where you're trying to follow the diet as prescribed to see how it works, and it said you had to have X amount of macronutrients, you'd eat whatever works and tastes relatively good to hit that goal if you wanted to truly test the diet. Hence the low-fat, high sugar ice cream . . . because it fits the macros.

I'm not trying to be a smartass with you, but I just don't break down things to a level it doesn't need to be at. I could say 30/30/150 Remember. If ya get it. You are doing great bro, I just wouldn't take things down to like 1200, no point in that because you have gained muscle that was not easy to do. You will lose the muscle with whatever fat goes to a degree. Not liking sweet stuff and desserts helps. Meat and veggies will do you right.

Your first few posts in this thread prove otherwise. You have done nothing except take a derisive tone with me up until now, and act like I'm some kind of 1200 calorie apostle, preaching the Good Word of Weight Watchers, when nothing could be further from the truth. This is MY experiment.

You can say I'm losing muscle all you want, and you may ultimately be correct, but because I'm tracking my lifts as I go, and haven't had to drop the weight (I'm still on my projected increases), I don't think I have. I might toward the end of the diet, and if so, I'll find another way. But to say that I am going to lose muscle is a fact that is not currently in evidence. And sorry, but I like sweets and desserts. Sucks for me. I've just made it harder on myself. But life isn't worth living if you can't eat Oreos. |

I've already done way low carb. It's how I got here:
I'm just trying it differently this time. An experiment. Also, do you have any current pics? |

Does anyone else think that this thread would be much cooler if hot chicks were discussing their bodies and providing topless pics?
