So, are there still people who doubt that Alex ****ing Smith is going to be the QB long term in KC?
Personally, I'm not terribly surprised by this move; Winston was flat out awful last year in pass protection. |

Barry Richardson was flat out awful. Eric Winston was above average.

Bingo ! Or atleast that seems like a possible scenario for Winston if he want to remain in the NFL a few more years, because just like a CB who's not as athletic as he gets older but finds a home at safety, Winston has always been a solid rush-blocker but only average at best when it comes to playing OT and handling the edge-rushers. That's basically what the Texans already realized last year when they released him.

I watched people run right by Winston time and time again last season. He was awful. I don't give a shit what your boys at PFF say about it.

Damn...if only Cassel would have had this kind of talented line.

And just for the record, I think Fisher or Joeckel will be playing RT next season. Albert will be on the left side.

IF this were to be true, I have to wonder where the benefit would be. Why manufacture a need on a team with other roster holes.
Albert will walk if this is the case, because he'll want LT money. If he signs his FT, we'll be paying a RT $10 mil + right? |
