Did someone give Pete access to Dane's account?

Yup. Nobody would sit here and say that Marty or Vermeil's teams were just medicore because they couldn't get things done in the playoffs. The reality is, every team in the playoffs is good. See the Seahawks recently. or the Giants, who were swept by the Redskins. Atlanta certainly isn't just mediocre.

Chiefs haven't done that in a loooong time.

So us walking around like that's a weak team and someone we're gonna smack down at the mighty Arrowhead, host to Tim Tebow's fourth miracle, is a bit of wishful thinking, no?

Let's wait until Casshole completes at least one more pass past 15 yards before we start swinging our dicks around.
It's almost as impressive as the 90's Chiefs.

Almost.

Wait, wut?

Gannon was OF MVP. If you think Cassel will put up those kinds of results, then IDK what to say.

Again, 5 of 7 passes within 6 yds of LOS. The two beyond were good throws though.

People need to understand something very simply and clearly:

Matt Cassel has never, ever won a close game against a playoff-caliber team.

We play a lot of those types of teams this year, if recent history is any sort of indicator.

Until we see him do it...

Gannon was a Dink and Dunk guy. Cassel may be able to evolve into the same type of guy, especially with this surrounding cast.

Maybe.

Sorry Dane, I think you're a valuable mind on these boards, but Cassel will never display the pocket presence, ability to look down the field, clutchness (??)and accuracy that Gannon had.

Edit: The music is overplayed. Mute if you haven't heard it in every highlight video ever.

Matt Cassel doesn't need to win the game, he just needs to stay out of the rest of the teams way.

Also, a lot of people were sour on the Daboll hire. I was optimistic about it, and feel even better about it after the game Friday.

Really? So Gannon was the same guy in KC as he was in Gruden's system in Oakland?

I'm not stating that Cassel WILL become Gannon 2.0, I'm suggesting that maybe, just maybe, he can.

I understand the skepticism. I am as well ( see my RG3, Tyler Wilson, Logan Thomas Geno Smith, Stanzi, etc. posts). However, our team will hopefully be able to rely on running the ball, screens, PA, and intermediate passing to win these close games, along with our probable top 10 D. Not being a homer, but this team is literally designed to be extremely successful with any QB not named Jamarcus, Palko, or Leaf as QB. **** Jeff George could do damage with this team.

Cassel's arm does look stronger and thrown seemed to take less effort. Also tight spirals, and accurate. He could surprise a bit. I think he throws for over 3500yds.

He'll be greatly aided downfield by Baldwins size and skill set.

This league doesn't work that way anymore.

Not against good teams.
