Official Royals Repository, Part 5 ***

This time: With more playoffs

Our beloved Kansas City Royals take on the plucky upstart Houston Astros in the ALDS; Can they remind the Astros that they're supposed to be a year away from this?

Can an AL team manage to beat the Royals this postseason?

Mondesi would be an interesting addition... he's a very fast guy as well, though he isn't in Gore's class when it comes to speed or taking bases.

BUT... in a series in which you might have to play a game without one of your 25, it might be worth the downgrade in late-game speed to have a guy you can use to cover a position for multiple innings, if needed.

Orlando would be used the same way he is now, with Dyson reserved for pinch running duties exclusively.

If we believe that Cueto should not pitch in a hostile environment, then he has to have the 2/6 slot

i like the way they set it up.

I don't think they want young to see the batters in two games and I don't think I want that either.

I'm guessing this is because Zobrist's wife had contractions during game 6, but I don't know.

30 years ago a Royal (Saberhagen) had a son born to him on the morning of Game 6. (The son turned 30 today.) I am secretly hoping we see Drew tomorrow night catching the ceremonial first pitch from his father on the 30th anniversary of his game 7 shutout.

Does he serve some sort of function in the delivery? Bob Dole doesn't have any children (except the ones here), but Bob Dole is pretty sure she can have it by herself.

So who do the Royals go after in the offseason to take his place in the rotation?

Or do they promote from within? Zimmer?
