This is so unreal. We were dead. No hope. A season over. Somehow, someway we find some team chemistry and squeak into the playoffs on the last day of the season.

Only to find us facing one of the best pitching staffs assembled in years with home field advantage. We somehow, someway find a way to beat the best pitcher in baseball on the road in an elimination game.

We have to go on the road and beat the team with the best home record in baseball. A team who mortgaged their future to make this run .We somehow, someway find a way to beat them on the road and make our 18th World series trip.

We take game 1, we give away game 2 and home field advantage. Albert goes off for probably the best performance in World Series history and we take game 3 easily. Games 4 & 5 our bats fall asleep, Phone gate happens and its not looking too good.

Game 6, one of the best baseball games of all time and it takes place in a season ending go home game. Cardinals are down 2 runs in their final chance on the season, twice. They are down to their final strike of the season, twice. They give up a 2 run homer in extra innings. In the bottom of the inning their final 3 batters are a combined 3-26 in the Playoffs and a pitcher because the bench is empty. Somehow, someway they get some runners on and the comeback player of the year drives in the tying run. Mr. Freese hits the walk off home run. We will see you tommorrow night.

Game 7, With our bulldog on the mound pitching on 3 days rest he is able to give us 6 good innings and get us to within 9 outs of our 11 World series title. Texas meltsdown, probably left over from last nights game and its over.

The underdog, come back team who had no business even being in the playoffs wins a World championship. They make movies about events like this in life. Events that you remember even if your not a fan of the sport or team for the rest of your life.

When it is your team.......Priceless

I heard two different guys on two different stations suggest it within an hour of each other on Saturday afternoon.

I'd trade Holliday in a heartbeat. Make room for Craig and free up some money to sign albert and go after Oswalt.

And I shit you not, a ****ing squirrel was running around between sections 160-164 during the ceremony. ****er ran right under my feet at one point.

Agree with most but...........
3) I see Miller in the second half. Martinez in 2013.
5) Incentive laden is the key. Have 3 vets battle for two spots in the rotation works for me.
7)If we don't resign Pujols, I say go after Reyes
10) I like the incentive contract for a veteran over the young talent. Let them work out of the bullpen.
13) He's a reliever best used sparringly and in in spots. He should realize that and stay around in that capacity.

WTF is this trade Halliday shit coming from. He has a firm no way in hell can I be traded clause. He's not going to want to leave. He's put down roots, lives full time in st, Louis, kids in schools. It's a pipe dream. Just let it go.

May be homerism but God knows I have cursed him like a slow driver in the left lane this year but I liked the signing originally and I am going to stick with it.

I'm fine with him as well. Just mentioning how quickly a couple of guys in the media have turned on him.

Gotta find a way to get Master Allen on the field though. Shame that he'd be a liability in CF.

Yeah. I think he will get alot more time in right next year. No way Berkman can repeat this year.

We just resigned Garcia at a reasonable salary. Why trade him? We just have to hope he gets his head on straight when things go south during a game. If he can recover in an inning he will be a good member of the pitching staff.

Huge delima. In a good way. I wish Craig could play 2nd and I know they tried but that's a tough experiment.

I wouldn't be suprised if TLR is back, and honesty if I were him I would retire, to see another 2nd base expierment with Craig alla Skip.

All that depending on AP staying.

I honestly think of AP leaves and you get Craig in right and Berkman at 1st the offense doesn't skip a beat.

Would rather have AP and try to figure out the rest though.

Rasmus is JD Drew V.2 with a little less talent and less heart and it's hard to have less heart than Drew. Real hard.

If Rasmus could ever become anywhere close to JD Drew as a hitter (.278/.384/.489 career), that would be great for the Jays. I don't see him having the plate discipline, though. Still should wind up as a pretty good hitter for a CF.

Rasmus is just a damn headcase. I don't really ever see him being the guy they thought he would be.

Sometimes talent can overcome that aspect. It has with Yunel Escobar in Toronto.

I was just listening to a Brett Lawrie interview where he talks about how Rasmus was the most laidback guy he's ever seen in a clubhouse. Hearing that, the JD Drew comparisons seem legit.
