Stuff We Can All Agree On.

I'm not sure there is such a thing, but I thought I'd try and find out.

Apparently, Planeteers disagree amongst themselves about Herm, politics, religion, the meaning of life, who makes the best coconut macaroon, a good name for the lounge, and the preferred method for trapping a gorilla. Still, there must be something upon which we can build consensus.

Please post your ideas regarding things you believe that all Planeteers would agree on. Then, we can make a poll or something to find out if it's really true.

Oh, and thanks in advance for agreeing that this is a way cool thread.

Due to a disagreement, we eliminated #8 thus, in one fell swoop, moving the contested item #10 into the #9 slot which was replaced with your suggestion, Mr. cdcox.

I think we can all agree that Gochiefs needs to get laid.

The earth is only approximately round. More like a squashed egg.

The following is not true, in general:

"The sum of the square roots of any two sides of an isosceles triangle is equal to the square root of the remaining side."

Perhaps you are thinking of the Pythagorean theorm which states:

"In any right triangle, the area of the square whose side is the hypotenuse (the side of a right triangle opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of areas of the squares whose sides are the two legs (i.e. the two sides other than the hypotenuse)."

The Earth is round claim has, apparently, been successfully refuted. I would submit that not all food is good. Baby ducks have fuzzy down - not feathers. The various NASA exploration spacecraft go up but never come down. Some pie sucks. I thought the Pluto question was unresolved. Does anyone have any information on this? Who knows what all this triangle talk is about?

I don't think the discussion on triangles has any point.
