Also I think they have laws in place about grow location and amount due to cigarette taxes because you know there is a state stamp on a pack of smokes and uncle Sam wants his cut of money

I vowed to never smoke anything, tobacco and MJ, after my grandmother died of lung cancer when I was young. Never have to this point, never will.

good! more for us!! honestly though in the decades of smoking they've found cigarettes to be cancerous but why can't they say the same about smoking weed? I get that smoking anything is terrible for your lungs but people been smoking weed just as long as they been studying the effects of tobacco smoke yet nobody has claimed smoking weed causes lung cancer nor has it killed anyone who's smoked it.

I've known people that successfully grew pot. They had little intelligence and showed no aptitude for botanical care outside of the pot. You could throw seeds out of a window and stand a good chance of success. In other words, it's idiot proof. Tobacco probably is not.

legalize it and let people grow it. Simple as that.

I'm glad states are finally come around to this concept.

not to be nit picky, but that's the thing about prohibition -- the state loves it and eventually the people overturn such nonsense using state ballot system. alcohol prohibition was upheld by the state until citizens began what is now known as "jury nulification" which overturned the judical system's penchant for "crime stopping" at the expense of it's own citizens lives.

Popular cigarettes are a blend of different tobaccos. You can buy a carton's worth of loose tobacco for under $10.

Growing your own weed can be cheap, but it takes over two months and your average Joe is going to have a hard time growing retail grade pot in there closet unlike with say beer making.

A "lid" is 1/8 of an ounce. It came from the practice of storing weed in Prince Albert tobacco cans.

A can could hold an entire ounce. Just the lid held almost perfectly 1/8 of an ounce, so an eighth was a "lid".

Back in the day, a lid cost $10 and was thus referred to as a "dime lid".
