If the subject were an episode of BBT, it would be titled :

I don't know what to think anymore - it's like the Chiefs (collectively) have this Ginormous Human head somewhere outside the the desert, on a hill. And Denver parks thyself in there. I'm so over this, I really thought last night was going to be a good win.

I don't get why people get so excited by coaches who yell at people or "kick some ass." Rex Ryan! Rob Ryan! YEAH! Those guys will make the team try harder. Which is funny because those guys almost always flame out fast. Meanwhile, Bill Belichick is the most successful coach of this generation, maybe ever... and he shows less than zero emotion. He makes a lamppost look like Richard Simmons.

I don't think there's any one way to do it really, but guys like the Ryans, Jim Harbaugh, Greg Schiano, Todd Haley seem to burn out fast and alienate their teams.

Positive rep to the first person who starts a "I'd take Herm Edwards for a hundred, Alex" thread.

I would rather have Todd Haley as a head coach. Sorry, but it's true. I think Andy Reid has a better shot of winning a playoff game. No shot at winning a Super Bowl.

I don't know how anyone here can acknowledge that pioli was batshit crazy and maniacal, yet can't understand that maybe Haley was undermined by piolis stupid. Most areas where Haley threw a shit fir, he was right. Demanded a new QB, threw a fit when they drafted Tyson Jackson, hated the 2 gap 3-4, hated being forced into the Parcells offense.

Wasn't he pretty skeptical/critical of Arians being a HC candidate after he was the interim HC at Indy?

Haley came up under Parcells. And he liked working with him so much with the Jets he joined him with the Cowboys too. I don't think he liked having Weis call the plays but that's more likely because he wanted control. I don't think he hated anything about Parcells.

Parcells guys are generally fine. More flexible. Bellichick guys are stuck on the tree. Haley got ticked off every time pioli tried to jam the Patriot way down his throat. He wanted to run Pendergast 4-3 under not piolis 2 gap. And he hated Matt cassel. He then wen to Pittsburgh and didn't insist on hiring Patriot or Parcells cronies. He pretty much resisted all the pioli decisions we all hated.
