Will you be watching the game on Sunday?

I know there are some people who don't watch the games on Sunday because of the team on the field....but I figured I'd ask since this week it's on even earlier.

Here in California, the game starts at 6:30 in the morning. I'll be setting my DVR and watching it when my kids decide to wake me up.

How about you? Will you be waking up early to watch the game?

Same shit, same results, different game.

What will be amusing to me, is the dws who yammer about how we're facing a 'real powerhouse' with a 'true franchise QB' in Detroit, who'll expose us as the frauds we are.

Then when we piddle our way to a boring win, they come back to remind us that Detroit hasn't won anything since Leave It Beaver topped the Nielsen's, and Stafford is the most overrated Hobbit ever to venture from the Shire.

But, [pick xxx future opponent], those guys will EVISCERATE us. Guaranteed. Might at well move on to 2016.

So youre saying there are season ticket packages available? Come out and check out the BBQ?

I'll check in on the game while at church. I may get home in time for the last couple minutes.

So while Clark's franchise goes to play a "home" game in London, KC fans will find better things to do than watch his comatose team... i.e. following the Royals World Series run.

Clark took KC fans for granted and it failed.
It hasn't failed yet. I see a lot of people here that are planning on watching.

I know you love to be negative, but you might want to wait until it has actually failed to celebrate the failure.

What is your definition of "a lot of people planning to watch"? Just based on the poll in this thread... 66 people isn't a lot of people.

I might watch while I'm doing things around the house. Can't bring myself to care much about a team that's going nowhere this year.

Because there's religion to sell at 8am on sunday...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Nope. Not gonna wake up early to watch NFL football - Chiefs or not. I think the whole NFL playing in London is a big waste of time for people in the US. Just my opinion.

After being supremely confident the Chiefs would beat the Colts in 2003 and the Jayhawks would beat Syracuse, I knew it was time to let it go a bit... and hiring Herm Edwards made it easier. It was tough to quit, almost felt wrong that I was missing games, but the great thing is that now I get just as excited for the Royals and Jayhawks, but don't lose sleep over losses... and the Chiefs have completely taken a back seat at this point until they demand my attention like the other teams I mentioned.

I've never understood why people say this, it's not like people learn a whole lot from game to game, and it's not like people should change their opinions one way or another because of one game, especially against a 1 win team.

If you hate Alex Smith now, you should still hate him Monday, even if he throws for 500 yards against the Lions... if you like him now, it shouldn't matter if he goes 7/20 with 4 INTs.

And the idiots who might say "I told you Smith sucks!" without watching the game would say that anyway, so it's not really relevant.

... and you can bet that half these people will indeed be watching. They just don't want to say that they will be watching. Why? because if KC loses ugly, they will feel foolish to have "gone out of their way to watch."

66% of the people polled.

It isn't a failure before it happens just because you want it to be.

Nope. Will be out of town with the wife and have better things to do. Besides, I will probably need to be checked out of the hotel before it is over.
