No one is calling Ragland a pro bowler. But the dude is clearly a better MIKE than anyone we’ve had since going to the 3-4.

Actually, yeah. Belcher is a good example of a player who produced just as much, if not more than Ragland. At least till he blew his head off.

As of right now, Ragland is still just a JAG like every other JAG.

I know we're all excited about his draft pedigree, but PFF gave him an "average" rating last season.

He didn't do shit to jump off the screen at you, and was a large part in our shit run defense.

You don't get to lay all that shit Run D on DJ's feet while praising the guy standing next to him...

PFF rates him as average. Just looked.

And if Ragland has to come off the field the majority of the time (because D's are in Nickel+ most of the time) then what does that say about his ability and his importance?

He's an ILB, close enough. Like our safeties, they're interchangeable. Or at least should be.

That was the concept.
