I say if you want to be negative, or doubt, that’s perfectly fine. The Chiefs have done enough to deserve that.

But if we’re being honest, this is still their best chance to finally put it all together and that’s the approach I’m going to take. Especially with Berry back, who could very well take this defense from shit to average in a blink.

It is our best chance.

I am just hoping our bitching gets through to Andy Reid. The bitching wasn't enough to get rid of a DC who was clearly unqualified. And I suspect it's not enough to make him change the way he protects leads.

But I'm still hopeful that enough bitching will finally get through to him. If not him, then to Clark Hunt. Because these are actually fixable things.

I've got 48 years of conditioning of having things go inexplicably wrong at the exact worst time. It's hard to cleanse that out of my system. Franchise quarterback or not, it's going to take a Super Bowl win to do it, and it's going to take an AFC championship to even start the process.

Yep, know the feeling, in 8 days, I will have had "49 years of conditioning"! :-)

I say that all the time, even though I only have 43 years of frustration. Until they win it all again, a lot of people will always be hesitant to get over excited for anything because they know what could or will happen...because Chiefs.

Zilla acts like the Chiefs go full Herm RRPP with the lead. It's one of the stupider things he's posted...

If that were true we would be 0-16.

There's a difference between losing big leads to Beathard, Bortles, Rosen, and Keenum vs. doing that same thing to Rivers, Watson, Brady, Luck. The type of QBs you see every week in the playoffs.

We have to close out games with the intent of winning, not playing not to lose.

The other team makes adjustments while the Chiefs do not.

Our team doesn't struggle with adjustments when we're behind. Our offense was outstanding against Baltimore, New England, LA Rams (minus the turnovers... of course).

Is it just a coincidence that we make really good offensive adjustments when we're behind? Because it sure seems to me it's less about adjustments, and more that our offense & defense abandon everything that worked when we have a lead and look like a totally different team out there. It's clear as day that when we get a lead, we try to hold not to lose instead of going for the throat.

This is simply not true and its been pointed out nuerous times that Sutton has changed things up in games frequently this season.

He changed things against the Chargers in the second half and it backfired.

They don't "struggle". You just aren't scoring 40 ****ing points every game in the NFL. NOBODY ever does that.

The Chiefs struggled big time against SF, Denver (game 2), Arizona, Jacksonville in the 2nd half. Not just struggled. Were flat out terrible.

In SD, other than one penalty-aided drive, we had two ugly 3-and-outs.

Against Pitt/SD, we went up 21 and 14 in the first half, then like clockwork fell totally asleep on offense and let the other team crawl back.

That's 6 or 7 games in this season alone where we've seen it happen.
