I just got blindsided folks. Manager and some HR lady pull me into a chat room and inform me they are letting me going due to company restructuring I didn't see this coming at all I'm devastated and don't know what the **** to do.

I once worked for a large company that went through downsizing at least once a year. Then they'd be out within a week hiring contractors to backfill. Sure enough they were able to rid themselves of some money for employee benefits, but they often hired those same contract employees after a year. One guy I worked with was on his 3rd contract after being let go twice. What a ****ing way to run a railroad. BTW, the company is no longer in business.
