Peyton Manning to visit Denver TONIGHT to meet with Donks

Peyton Manning will be in Denver tonight visiting with the Broncos, according to two NFL sources.

This is getting serious, folks.

Manning, arguably the most decorated free agent in NFL history, has the Broncos on his short list. The long-time Indianapolis Colts quarterback was released earlier this week amid concerns about his neck, a $26 million bonus payment and the team's opportunity to select highly prized quarterback Andrew Luck with the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL draft.

Manning, 36, has been cleared to throw by his neck specialist, Dr. Robert Watkins. One NFL source said Manning will also visit the Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins after visiting with the Broncos. A source said Manning would like to make a decision by Tuesday, the first day of free agency.

The Broncos' top brass of John Elway, coach John Fox and general manager Brian Xanders, are currently in Stillwater, Okla., watching the Oklahoma State Pro Day workout that features quarterback Brandon Weeden.

The Broncos have the No. 25 pick in the draft, plus the 25th selection in the second round. Weeden, who turns 29 in October, is considered the second-best passer to Luck in the draft and has been projected to go between the Broncos' top two picks.

Manning will turn 36 in two weeks.

Has anything ever been said that leads us to believe kc didnt offer him a contract but at least called to throw out a contract number? Look, Peyton is a thorough guy. Denver being first means absolutely nothing, except that it's on his short list. He's going to visit a lot of places. Let's not get too riled up. I do think, in the end, it'll be kc, Mia, den. I do think Miami will be knocked out and it'll be kc or Denver. In my opinion, the tough sell for the chiefs will be whether pioli and kc's bad front office reputation are going to hurt us. Because everything else really holds up in terms of getting manning.

If Manning leaves Denver without a contract, I'm pretty sure he's not signing anywhere without shopping around, because I'm sure the Broncos are giving the full court press, so not sure how Pioli is suppose to make Manning sign a contract.

If Manning leaves Denver without signing, which he will, they are out of it more than likely.

they know this, which is why they are pressing so hard.

They have proved nothing. How many passes did Tebow even throw? Not very many so they didn't have a chance to prove they can be good at all. Pure speculation that will be anything but ordinary.

No, that's not true at all. Not true whatsoever. Peyton Manning is unbelievably thorough. I read an article that at his combine, HE was the one peppering teams with questions, not the other way around.

Peyton Manning probably didn't go to Denver in a do-or-die scenario. It's probably one of several visits he will make. He will probably leave all those visits without a contract, think it over, and make a decision. Though, I wouldn't leave out the possibility that if a team like KC is very high on the list, he could possibly be saving that team for last.

That's my guess. He will stop here last, take a day out to make his decision.

I don't think he'll drag this out however.

I honestly think Denver's pressuring of him may turn him off.

Yeah but if he visited KC first then left, he'd just be making his rounds right? Do you see what you write dude?

I hope Manning has a lot of respect for Tebow, and doesn't want to see him pushed aside. Because you know that came up.
