That's great and all, but Dorsey and Jackson combined for 1 sack Last season. That has to improve if this defense is going to be elite. Look at the elite 34's in the NFL. Then look at the production their DE's get in terms of a pass rush.

Lets please stop pretending that their ONLY job it to clog run lanes.

Exactly. KC was tied for 3rd fewest sacks in the league last year. The DL isn't getting to the QB, nor are they doing a great job of letting the LB's do their job.

I was responding to chiefsfootballfan's use of the Giants D-line in his post, because it was a poor choice on his part. I wasn't defending the Chiefs DL. They need a NT (drafted one) and they've got two DEs who don't seem to have the first step that allows them to beat their opponent when pass rushing. That can work if they get the pass rushing pressure from elsewhere, or if they can get a pass rushing sub, and Poe can help there if he's able to get push up the middle on 3rd downs, but it's definitely something to watch moving forward.

Just curious, what do you think they look at to come up with the statistics and data when grading their play? Their horoscopes? Their jock sizes?

My understanding is they watch every down of every play and grade it individually, but hey go with what you know man.

It might.

They're kind of like Bowe. The 3-4 DEs depend on the NT to do his job in order for them to make the right decision on the right gap. If the nose just gets pushed back like a bitch, they have nowhere to go and can only hold up their point of attack. They've never played with Vince Wilfork or some other nose like that. Who knows what could happen if they did
