In Olathe parents complain when a brand new school is built and their precious little tykes are "forced" to go to the shiny new Taj Mahal up the street that just raised the value of their home by $20,000.

I don't see why lowering your overhead is so wrong. If a school built 30 years ago now only has half as many students attending why should you keep paying to keep it open when you can combine two schools?
