It's Raider Week

There are only two weeks out of the year where I miss Marty Schottenheimer, and those are the two weeks we play the Raiders.

Forget Sucking for Luck and all the turbulence that's characterized the season so far.

It's time to sack up, go into that crap hole, and pull their ankle bracelets through their collective throats. It's time to atone for last year's embarrassment at Arrowhead and the one that got away in their crib.

It's time to invoke the ghosts of Andre Rison on MNF, Marcus Allen, Larry Johnson plunging in with no time left, and Todd Marijuanavich.

Raiders fans are walking around like they're going to beat the piss out of us on Sunday. BS. Let's do this!

If Jano is out and CP doesn't play then Chiefs have a chance.

But, but, he's a first round selection. He must be important.

Now all of a sudden Palmer is relevant

The Raiders could beat the Chiefs with Herbie the Hobo meth junkie. He'd break foot off in ass

Never seen me laugh at anything but his gut. I was pissed when the Raiders got him, and wanted him as a Chief.

By now, anyone who says that Janokowski wasn't a great first round selection is thick in the head.

He's been on the team for over ten years, is the Raider's all time leading scorer, is probably the best long distance place-kicker to ever play the game, and he's tied with Dempsey and Elam for the longest FG in NFL history.

If our offense gets to the opponents 35 yard line, we'll usually get three points out of it whereas almost every other team in the league has to punt. In Houston he made 3 field goals from 50 yards out. The guy's a scoring machine.

Anyway, with Jano out it's over for the Raiders. Boller isn't going to lead this team down the field on many TD drives. Our best hope was for a TD or two with Janokowski knocking through 3 or 4 field goals after the offense bogged down inside KC's 35-40 yard line.

I was looking forward to talking shit about stomping Chief ass this week but it ain't gonna happen. We have no starting quarterback and our leading scorer is gone.

Sometimes it just isn't your day and sometimes it just ain't your week either. This is one of those weeks for the Raiders.

I'll say it. Hell yeah I'd love to have him on the roster. He's a beast of a kicker, and has won many games for the Raiders. Worth a first pick? maybe not, but at this point who cares? Whats done is done. I would love to have Jano, and Im glad he's out (possibly). With Raiders/Chiefs games typically decided by 3 points? Hell yeah Im glad he's out.

For a first rounder?

Are you saying you think it was a good pick?

He is a great kicker, but I wouldn't give up a first rounder if it meant I would get the leagues best kicker AND punter.

You can get really good kickers in the 5th round.

Hell we laughed at his gut too but that bastard can sure kick the crap out of a football...

Good for you Hemi, it's refreshing to see someone actually like a player on another team...

I would like to have Dwayne Bowe on the Raiders

He wasn't a great first round pick. No other team was gonna take him in the first. I remember that draft, he was mentioned as a mid second round pick. Oakland could have traded down. Besides, he never has made a pro bowl, and while I agree he's among the best kickers in the league, no kicker is worth a first round pick. Good kickers aren't rare enough to take that high.
