For the record, I didn't hate Tannehill and don't hate Bray. It's just amusing.
Right now there's no risk that we could actually take Bray. When the draft gets closer if he's attainable by us he will be hated.

It's possible, but it depends if he and USC meet expectations. Unless another prospect explodes, he'll still be the #1 QB though.

The microscope is going to be on Landry Jones too. Watching how much he tumbles in the next year is going to be fun.
Bulking up is critical. I hope he doesn't become the next Croyle. Tannehill has a good arm, but again, I think his supporters hype it up for being more than it is. It's not even close to elite. What I like about Bray is he's shown a lot more promise in using that arm on deeper stuff. Because to me, having a great arm doesn't matter if you don't know how to use it. Have you seen many clips of Tannehill gunning the ball into a tight spot? I really haven't. His entire resume seems to be built on safe throws, most of them being sideline routes or dump-offs.

If it's qb next year, give me Tyler Wilson.

QB.

The Weeden selection this year shows that teams must go balls out if they like a QB in the draft because the risk/reward is just too damn high.

There are 4-5 high-quality QBs projected to go next year. Just give us one, and I don't particularly care which.

The good news is, as I've said before, if you have QBs moving out of the top 5 and especially out of the top 10, it's very easy to make a trade up even if you end up in the 20's. That, and there will be less competition from QB starved teams.

But that means the team has to be bold enough to take a chance on that move. That's where I start to become doubtful.

On paper, next year looks like it could be special for QBs.

Matt Barkley, Aaron Murray, Tyler Bray, Tyler Wilson, and AJ McCarron could all have 1st round grades.

I don't get why you are comparing those two. Bray has better physical tools and has been a QB his entire career. He started as a true freshman in the SEC.

Tannehill is much more of a gamble than Bray might be if he has the junior year he is capable of.

AJ McCarron has the goods. He just operates in a run first offense.

He's ****ing terrible. TERRIBLE. He might be trending upwards; his best game of the season was the national championship game. But he's also the biggest reason why LSU upset Alabama in the regular season.

Good arm, but he doesn't yet have the mental understanding of the game to be an NFL QB.
