The worst hitter in baseball is up with the pitcher behind him and a runner on first and Matheny just sits there with his thumb up his ass and doesn't tell Bourjos to run at all costs.

Then, said pitcher actually hits into some batted ball luck, but because he was walking out of the box, he's still out by 20 feet, when even a 400 pounder on a broken down Jazzy stroller could have beaten that out.

They HAVE a better bench - the concussed bum**** in the dugout refuses to use them.

There's no excuse whatsoever for Easley, Scruggs/Piscotty and Garcia being on this roster.

Cruz, Johnson and Kozma do not belong on a big league roster. Easley is a former first round pick who's hit in the minors for 3 straight years now. Garcia's done nothing but hit hard liners every time he's been called up and he's been among our better hitters in the minors this year as well. Piscotty/Scruggs may be the same guy, I dunno - but one of them needs to be on the roster.

If you do that you have legitimate power potential, plus speed, hitters from the LH and RH side. This team could absolutely have a credible bench but the dipshit in the dugout has to have his pets.

Peralta watching Molina's double instead of running. Bourjos not getting a secondary lead and breaking for 3b on the first pitch to Heyward.

They're bad, lazy baserunners.

At what point does Mozeliak have to shoulder a significant portion of the blame for that? Matheny doesn't wield control over personnel decisions.

Strauss has said in the past that Matheny gets a great deal of latitude on his bench construction.

Though like you, I'm at the point where Mozeliak's refusal to put the bite collar on Matheny is now Mozeliak's fault.
