Sometimes people hitch a ride on the back of the cart for one reason or another.

Yeah, completely normal. people do it everyday around the country club I'm near. And as a younger man, I've hung off the back of dozens of golf carts without issue, inebriated or not.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

This article says the following: (Bianco is the sheriff.)

https://www.yahoo.com/news/jeff-sper...202252637.html

Medical personnel at the scene didn’t find evidence suggesting Elway was drunk, Bianco told the Denver Post. He did not elaborate about how personnel reached that conclusion.

What is the sheriff’s office’s involvement?

Bianco said first responders didn't immediately call the sheriff's office to the scene, and typically would notify law enforcement if there were a concern. He said his agency got involved following media interest in the case and is reviewing surveillance footage and witness testimony. The investigation will be short, he said.

Given Elway's history, I remain suspicious that perhaps people looked the other way because he used to be somewhat of a celebrity. But the only thing that I can prove is that he is an overrated mediocre quarterback who routinely cheated as a player and a general manager. So I suspect he'll move on from this unscathed.

So, he’s apparently hiring a lawyer who’s helped other athletes facing issues. Contrary to popular opinion, this is actually pretty smart.

Having said that, I don’t know what I’d do if Elway called me. I mean, it would be good for the career and the pocketbook. But I hate the Broncos and I really hate that smug son of a bitch. I’d probably represent him but I’d let him know I’m KC Red and Gold through and through. And if that was a problem for him, well, **** him.

I think you're obligated to take even the most objectionable clients, but maybe you could dodge his calls and avoid the ask.

You could get a cute Broncos mini helmet that says staff. But your ideaology has to align with company principles. Which I’m pretty sure means you can’t be a Chiefs fan.

In the picture he’s drinking from a styrofoam cup. Another dude in front of him is drinking from a different kind of cup. I can’t think of the last place I was that served alcohol in styrofoam cups.

That’s a soda thing.

Even if he was drinking it doesn't automatically make him liable. Sure doesn't help, though.
