Logical has the general take on ICQ, milkman. You can send voice messages as well as files, etc. It's along the same lines as the AOL Instant Messenger, et al, but a more full-featured product. (Bob Dole uses it to chat regularly with his parents.)

That sounds like a neat format. MSN instant messenger has something like that as well. Maybe SOMEONE can e-mail me on how to use it.

School has started and my prep period is 6th hour. Not much time right now as I am student council advisor...homecoming dance, election of candidates, spirit t-shirts printing ect.... Lot of work and new at the job.

This year I teach 3 sections of 8th grade American History and 2 sections of 10th grade American History.

Last year I had the 10th grade but had 11th grade World History and not 8th grade.

Over the summer I thought I would be smart and create awesome lessons for my classes...no one told me that I would be changing from 11th to 8th...

And the stuco advisor from last year said he would assist me this year, only he is gone.

But I am strong and I will be great...<P>

Well, God bless you, Pam. I sure wouldn't want to teach - I'd be too afraid of getting students who act like I did. Horrifying thought.

Of course, the summers off part is appealing. My best friend is a college professor. He likes to call my office during the summer and say things like "Oh, yeah, you're at work, aren't you?" The bastard! (Can I say that?)

I have always known I was going to teach...way back in kindergarten. I always thought it would be music till I took an awesome history class in college. Changed my subject and here I am 2nd year teacher and lovin it!!!

And yes there are always at least two stinkers in every class!!!

Stinker - that would be a kind description of me in school. I was obnoxious, opinionated and mouthy from an early age and just got worse. I was a regular in the principal's office.

There are still old teachers of mine who would run if they saw me coming down the street. heh heh heh

Like to think I've matured since then... NOT!
