He played this exact way for 4 years and nobody ever said a word about it. I remember watching him in our playoff game against them and thought he was false starting every play. Not even a single whistle or mention of it.

Suddenly he plays for us and the NFL decides to make an example of him all season, even while Lane Johnson continues to play the exact same way without anyone caring.

But it's also silly to sit here and act like he's been any sort of liability. He's been a solid pass protector. Again, I will acknowledge that the penalties are real, but our goal was to keep Mahomes upright and he's actually done a very nice job of that.

Taylor hasn't been worth his contract but he's been an above average pass protecting RT. He's not been the reason our passing game has fallen on its face. Frankly, Smith really wasn't before he got hurt either.

Our OTs have been solid. Not great, not awful. They've done credible work all year until this last game.

I really can't see a good argument for trying to lump them in with the offenses struggles this season. They've played fine.
