Again - when he's not committing penalties, he's been good. A little underwhelming, but good.

When Sneed isn't committing penalties, he's been GREAT, so I kinda hand-waive the penalties because they're the cost of doing business at that position. And to some extent its the same way for OL. When he's committing all these penalties, you really need him to be better than merely good. If he can be great between the penalties, you can shrug the penalties off.

So if he's able to step his level of play up between the penalties OR cut back on the penalties, he's a real strong OT either way. But at least he's not just out there getting his dick knocked in the dirt every play. He's a good pass protecting OT.

I am not disagreeing, just acknowledging that PFF are what they are.

Taylor sitting 12th in win rate now.

Only a handful of RTs were better this year, and his help rate is low.

Donovan Smith in 17th. And folks are still trying to say the OTs have killed us this year for some strange reason.

Rasheed Walker up there in 3rd and Packers fans HATE him.

OL is such a weird position.

We're not allowed to talk about it here, but man, when Pat has played aggressive and trusted what he sees the offense has looked pretty good to me.

The drops are killer for sure and you can't discount those.

Smith and Taylor have been perfectly fine minus some penalties. People clearly are forgetting the days of Cam Erving and Jah Reid, or hell even last year. Pass blocking has been much better.

All things considered, if they are both back in 2024 I'd be perfectly content with it.

Penalties, and run blocking still matters. Don't entirely disagree with O's comment though.

It's really hard to do that when MVS is literally killing the offense and then acts like it's Pats fault.

The OTs last year were fine with help, we won the SB with them. The offense having a downturn hasn't just been losing Juju. Penalties have killed us along the OL.

How does GB keep doing it?

Their OL's are always good. They always were with Rodgers there. Bakhtiari in the 3rd, Linsely on day 3. Just saw Zach Tom was highly rated on PFF in pass pro. Rasheed Walker looks good, all their drafted guys are decent at worst. Hell Yosh Nijman was someone people wanted to play LT here and he's now a backup.

Then their long list of receivers they've developed. Jennings, Jones, Cobb, Jordy, Davante...Watson has looked good (but injured), Doubs looks serviceable and Jayden Reed has broken out.

Then the icing on the cake is Love looking like a top 10 QB down the stretch in his first year starting after Favre/Rodgers.

Goddamnit can that franchise develop players on offense. Steal their coaches damnit

The Chiefs have been just as good at developing offensive talent.

Hill, Kelce, Pachecho, Rice, Charles, Hunt, etc.

WR hasn't been as good as they have been for sure though.

What people miss when they talk about say the GB Post or the Steelers and their development of WR's is the amount of shots those teams have taken on the position.

We just haven't thrown enough darts at the spot.

Trust me - we don't all miss it.

Staylor and I have been making this argument - LOUDLY - for a couple years now.

I haven't looked, but I bet Trent Williams has a higher help rate.

People hate Taylor because it's an easy, lazy narrative.

Hell, I bet Trey Smith is pretty high on the list as well and Chief Fans have been hating on him for a minute.

The reality is that EVERY OL gets beat, sometimes badly. Fans seem to assume that their OL should NEVER give up a pressure and that their DL should NEVER be blocked. It just isn't feasible for that to happen, even though the Chiefs do probably as well as just about anybody in the NFL.

All of that and they still only got two SBs with an unprecedented two straight HOF QBs.
