It sounds like the most recent injury was not quite as bad as the original injury so maybe back in september. My biggest concern is that when he came back from the first injury, he was still favoring the leg a lot until he reinjured it.

Before some one bitches, this team has 6 more wins than the 2013 team did in their 111th game and 2 less wins than the 2004 team in their 111th game.

This team is really good.

Our problem is not the bullpen blowing games. It's going to happen from time to time. Our issue is offense and its looked better lately. Still have a ways to go though.

The bullpen might not have blown that game if it for the sudden obsession with Broxton, who has been terrible for most of this decade. Why he leapfrogged Cishek, I have no idea.

I don't know a lot of the in-depth history of either Broxton or Cishek. Matheny will have his 5th inning through 9th guys set before the playoffs. Good or bad, he will stick with them like clockwork. Maybe Walden comes back and he can help............maybe.

Even though its not the same pitchers facing the batters in each inning I like to see us give the batters different looks in each innings.

By contrast, Pete Kozma is 11 for 75 overall and (gulp) 1 for 11 as a pinch-hitter. Since Garcia plays all the positions Kozma plays, it's safe to predict a changing of the guard at the end of the Cardinals bench.
