A guy that lived across from me in college was insanely anal (er, maybe that's not the right word to use at the moment) about washing his hands, and would turn off the faucet with a paper towel after washing his hands in the bathroom, and then take a second paper towel and use that to open the door so he could leave.

He was kind of defensive about it, too (probably from the weird looks he got)... told me one day he hasn't been sick in 5 years... and I thought, huh, me neither. Didn't want to ruin a good thing for him though.
