It just seemed so damn scattershot. They looked like XFL squads out there just trying to build the plane as they were flying it.

Absolutely a beautiful disaster.
I’m wondering if this is what college football looked like in the 1890s. This game took us back two centuries

I’ve seen some games that were close to this bad, but it usually involved some type of crazy weather. This game looked bad enough to make me feel like I could make it in the NFL.

Somebody brought up the Chiefs-Bears 10-3 game in 2011 with Tyler Palko at QB.

Is that the one where McCluster caught a hail mary pass right before halftime?

Yup. Off a double deflection or something like that, no less.

A hail mary with the LOS at like the 40 yard line.

Sometimes I miss those days....oh wait, the opposite of that. **** that was miserable.

Enjoy it, Denver...

Check out the 'highlights' of that one:

The interception on the goalline was just a masterpiece. Yeah - this game is in that conversation. When it takes a hail mary to get the combined game score into double digits, you're not doing football right.

Did the idiot coach ever explain why he had Wilson throwing the ball at the end of regulation on 3rd down in field goal range up three points with two minutes left when the Colts had shown no ability to move the ball down the field for a touchdown all game?

Because he's not going to make that same mistake he made in week 1!

In fairness, you can call that play with a very clear "hey, don't throw it if it's not there" sort of order. And I'm sure he provided exactly that.

Wilson simply shouldn't have thrown the damn football.

Part of it appears to be that Wilson won't move anymore. On that play at the end of overtime, he had 2 seconds before he threw the ball over the middle. That's just too long; you can't throw it late and over the middle like that. The moment he hit that 2nd beat, he needed to roll out and see if something opened up. But he just won't do it.

His clock's shot back there. He doesn't seem to have a feel for anything that's happening out there. Then again, I guess you can shit on Hackett for not realizing that and keeping the ball out of Wilson's hands in that spot.

give it to Gordon and watch him fumble another game away? Hackett is a shit head coach, but he's absolutely ****ed either way outside of just kicking the FG on 3rd down in case of shenanigans.

I have to point out that you somehow used the words "Hackett" and "realize" in the same sentence. Try not to set such unrealistic expectations.
