In my book, huge difference. If he said it to the press conference, then I agree, that isn't very smart. If he was TMZ'd and didn't know that the camera was capturing his audio. I don't blame him. I'd feel that way too, and it was in the heat of an emotional loss.

Truth be told, KU would probably get beat by UNI 1 or 2 times every 10 games, not in 100 games. But still, he has a point, and the kid was just disappointed that they lost to a team they were supposed to beat. I like it. I like that he cares. I like that he's so emotional. He knows how much the fans car, how much the team cared, and how much the emotional media expected them to win. It's got to be hard for a 20 year old kid to deal w/.

I know pretty much none of you have been in his situation and had a camera in your face exposing you live to millions and millions of viewers right when one of the most disappointing things of your entire career has occurred.

If a poster doesn't advance the conversation, ignore them. Some posters make good points, others just try to get under your skin like a sliver and irritate you to know end.

UNI has scoreboard. KU has ifs-and-buts and woulda-shoulda-coulda.

IMHOWhen you lose you give the opponent credit, suck it up and get to work on fixing what caused you to lose. You don't cry about the refs and how you are really a better team unless you are a poor sport.

I guess we just disagree on the concept of sportsmanship and how you should handle a loss. Doesn't make either one of us wrong.
