Peyton Manning to visit Denver TONIGHT to meet with Donks

Peyton Manning will be in Denver tonight visiting with the Broncos, according to two NFL sources.

This is getting serious, folks.

Manning, arguably the most decorated free agent in NFL history, has the Broncos on his short list. The long-time Indianapolis Colts quarterback was released earlier this week amid concerns about his neck, a $26 million bonus payment and the team's opportunity to select highly prized quarterback Andrew Luck with the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL draft.

Manning, 36, has been cleared to throw by his neck specialist, Dr. Robert Watkins. One NFL source said Manning will also visit the Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins after visiting with the Broncos. A source said Manning would like to make a decision by Tuesday, the first day of free agency.

The Broncos' top brass of John Elway, coach John Fox and general manager Brian Xanders, are currently in Stillwater, Okla., watching the Oklahoma State Pro Day workout that features quarterback Brandon Weeden.

The Broncos have the No. 25 pick in the draft, plus the 25th selection in the second round. Weeden, who turns 29 in October, is considered the second-best passer to Luck in the draft and has been projected to go between the Broncos' top two picks.

Manning will turn 36 in two weeks.

All true, and the AFCS was much like the AFCW in the last decade... aside from a couple of years, IND was really the only good team.

It's been a surprisingly slow news day, other than Denver know-nothings basically repeating each others non-stories about not knowing where Manning is.

I would think that KC might make total sense for him as well...

Part of me would actually like to see if this TT thing can work in Denver, but I could certainly understand why they would go sign Peyton.

I think his best shot would be with either KC or Denver... simply due to the division. Neither of those teams now is a Manning away, they still have other holes to fill.
I'm no Tebow fan as a QB. With that said, he made improvements as the season went on last year. I don't understand why you wouldn't give a guy who prides himself on hard work, another year to continue to develop? Especially when Denver is pretty lacking in a lot of key areas. In other words, Manning isn't some missing piece for Denver. Regardless if he signs there, I don't see them as a SB team. Too many pieces are missing.

Salisbury calling him the Crypt Keeper on live television was probably the greatest thing I've ever seen happen on ESPN. He simply said what we were all thinking. And then they fired his ass.

Back when Sean Salisbury got busted for sending pics of his cock to coworkers, I pondered if it was just a pic of John Clayton.

So should we start posting in the other thread now? I wonder if Kevin Kolb and Skelton are 'rattled' yet?
