Reasons to hate the Denver Broncos. - Page 9

Post your reasons here. I'll start.

1. They stand between us and the playoffs.

2. We play them next week.

3. They cheated the draft system and stole their franchise player, John Elway, from the Baltimore Colts.

4. That whole "Three Amigos" schtick. That was just embarrassing to real football teams.

5. The "thin air" thing. I live here. It's not a big deal. Seriously.

6. Playoffs against the Chiefs in 1997. The referees discover that the Broncos' linemen have covered themselves in an illegal foreign substance. The linemen are told to wipe themselves off (using the honor system), and no penalty is called. The Broncos pretend to wipe off the foreign substance and come back unchanged, and were not forced to use backups while the starters went in and showered to properly remove said substance.

7. Broncos fans' ludicrous takes on Hall of Fame eligibility, e.g. Louis "Two Interceptions per Year" Wright and Floyd "1 thousand yard season and a 3.9 career average" Little.

8. John Elway's penchant to try to score himself on important plays, so as to hog the spotlight.

9. Their belief that they have a legitimate rivalry with the Raiders. What's that about? The Chiefs and Raiders have duked it out for 45 years, and both teams just use the Broncos as a warmup. They're just the Chargers with a disregard for the rules.

10. They embarrass the AFC in Super Bowls. The Broncos have appeared in six Super Bowls, and have averaged giving up 34.3 points per game. Only the Bills have given up more among teams with more than 1 appearance (34.8). In their average Super Bowl appearance, the Broncos have lost by 15.2 points. Only the Bills and Vikings have been worse among teams with more than one appearance, and they're at 16.5 and 15.2.

11. Bill Romanowski. The Broncos gave a home to the dirtiest, most classless, racist, drug-using bag of steroids ever to make a dirty hit in this league. Romanowski set up his doctor to go to prison after the doctor made Romanowski rich.

12. That horrible turf that they had for years at Mile High Stadium. The Chiefs would have to play there, and there'd be clouds of dust because the field was just dirt in many places.

...We embarrass the AFC the Superbowl?!?! When was the last time the

were in the Superbowl???

...Re: reason #25, Yeah we beat ATL...you play who the NFC sends to the Big Dance (not like we chose to play ATL)....and BTW that was are 2nd of two in a row the first of which we beat the defending champs!!!!

....Rain Man.....We ruined Neil Smith's career by signing him?!?!?! he won a f**kin Superbowl when he played for the BRONCOS, so we actually helped his career.....

....cdcox.....did you even see the replay of the return? THERE WERE ILLEAGLE BLOCKS ON THE RETURN!!!! and come to think of it, what has Hall done since?!?!?! .....OH AND.....ED FAKING INJURIES?!?!?!?! The only time he had to sit out for a long period of time was when he broke his leg catching a ball (which BTW he held on to) He caught pass after pass while taking hit's Kennison and your other "receivers" (if that's what you call them in K.C.) would duck and cover from (and miss the ball in the process).

So I just wanted to point those items out to all you so called intellegent K.C. fans....

By the way on the topic of CHEATING......

......what about your belovded Derrick Thomas (R.I.P.) and the grabbing of Sharpe's facemask over and over during one of our games......TALK ABOUT CLASSLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF?!?!?!?!

You might want to find out what Horsehead Sharpe was saying to DT on the "Monday Night Meltdown" before you criticize DT for grabbing the facemask of that asswipe.

Stuff gets said on every play in the NFL....as a player you are supposed to be better than that and "shrug it off" not grab the opposing player by the facemask and throw him to the ground.....

Grabbing a face mask is pretty classless.

Of course, I'd have to say cheating on every level in order to win two Super Bowls rates a bit higher on the "Things That Are Classless" list. As are breaking legs via a cheap shot, consistently being one of the most fined teams in the league, having draft picks taken for cheating the cap, etc.
