not to shift gears but there's a Taco Tico off of 75 en route to KC, in Tennessee it's in a gas station - w/ a pseudo OK Joe's set up. When I found it - I was so excited it was like seeing a solid gold sign on the road. My childhood flashed before me.

I just randomly thought of this - not sure why.

it was so odd - i hadn't seen once since EARLY years in Missouri - I mean like 12 yrs old or so.

I'd heard people on the internet rave about Chik-Fil-a for years, so when they opened in Hollywood a few years back, I was very interested in checking out their food.

What I found it to be was overpriced and bland. The waffle fries are lame, their wraps are lame and dry and their chicken strips and sandwiches are just "okay". Without their sauces, the food is inedible to me.

The Wendy's spicy chicken sandwiches (and really, any of their chicken sandwiches) along with Jack In the Box's chicken sandwiches, are much better.

And for the record, I don't consider Chipotle to be Mexican food. Grilled chicken, rice, cheese, sour cream, guacamole and beans for $10 dollars, whether it's in a bowl or an oversized flour tortilla, isn't Mexican food. It's American comfort food.

I've never had Taco Rico. I've had Taco Tico but the only thing I ever get off their menu is the cheese enchiladas.
