Madden '17
Anyone getting a little excited? Seems like they have really made an effort this year.

Franchise mode is getting an overhaul according to recent news:

1. Full player editing while your franchise is progressing.



2. Coaching/FO decisions.



3. In-game ticker with live updates.



4. Practice squads.



5. New commentary team that will actually talk about things happening in your franchise.

6. Draft has been tweaked with more busts/gems.

Gameplay improvements:

1. Zone Coverage overhaul.



2. New ball-carrier special moves.

3. Real gap control on defense.

4. Real ball physics. In the past the ball would tether to a player based on ratings.

They also overhauled kicking to make it a challenge now. There's a new three-click system and weather/location will play a factor. Also, apparently on clutch kicks if the opponent "freezes" the kicker by calling a timeout the kicking meter will disappear and you have to make the kick by muscle memory. Kicks and punts can also be blocked.

How badly all of this shit is ****ed up on release remains to be seen but it does seem like they are making a big effort.

2. I love that the CPU actually called a play that faked me completely out but my CPU defenders recovered.

Things I've never seen in a video game before: the CPU punting and having the ball roll to a stop at the 5. Just happened.

what are you playing the game on? computer or console?

I still haven't gotten used to how mine looks when playing. It doesn't look the same as yours. not in terms of graphics or quality etc, but like the zoom or something. mine has almost a first person feel. I should probably **** with seeing if that's something I can change. nothing like running an outside zone run thinking you've broken contain then getting blasted by the corner back that you couldn't see because he was outside the zoom/frame....and your WR didn't do dick to even try to block him lol.

I also need to break the habit of using R2 trigger. It does some modifier that I'm not used to at all yet, but my PS3 has me in the habit of using it as a sprint. every time I use R2 while simply guiding the player with my L stick, he always ends up doing some dumb shit I'm not expecting lol.

there's no Madden on PC.

PS4

hit the down button on the directional pad to change camera angle. there are 5 different camera angles: super zoomed in, normal, wide, all 22 and broadcast.

I'm having a hell of a time running. I pretty much have to pass to set up the run.
not that it matter all that much in terms of AI. you could pass 100 times in a row then run a draw and get stopped for a 2 yard loss. lol.

99% of it though, in reality,...is I suck at playing. So, just gotta keep practicing.

This game *from clays videos* looks absolutely amazing! Game play looks smoother than ever before.. commentary is much much improved, just seems fun to play.
