Why not? 2 hits last night. 2 runs in 2 games. We are going to be throwing shit at that wall until Grichuk gets back.

It stuck for tonight anyway.

2-3 game winning RBI HR, and threw a guy out from his knees.

He may be hitting his stride after a really slow start.

We were all wanting to bat him 8th. He has really started to hit the ball well. Saved our ass tonight.

Piscotty should have had 2 home runs tonight. One last night. We need the power. Giving credit to Pete ****ing Kozma for helping him out with his hitting at the major league level?

But Pete's still at least a 2 tool player. Moss has zero tools.

Moss has no business on a major league roster, let alone starting over a guy that can legitimately provide you with elite CF defense. One premier tool at a premier defensive position is a hell of a lot more valuable than...well the absolutely nothing that Moss gives us.

Moss is a complete piece of shit. When Heston gassed him at 88 mph the letters, I realized that the 'slider speed bat' tag I put on him when we traded for him was probably being polite. The guy simply can't get around on anything and can't put a charge into anything.

But please Dan (and BRC), tell us all more about those warning track fly balls he's hitting.

I honestly don't believe anyone put eyes on Brandon Moss before they traded for him. I think they got their 'exit velocity' data that showed an 'unlucky' BABIP and they made a pure SABRE driven trade for an injured and ineffective ballplayer.

What's made the Cardinals such a good organization of late was that they did a great job combining scouting and stats. There's no way on this earth that any experienced scout watched Brandon Moss play at all over the month leading up to the trade deadline and decided he was worth acquiring.

The Moss trade is simply an organizational failure. When Chase Utley slips through waivers unclaimed, the fact that you traded your 2nd best pitching prospect for Brandon Moss is all the more astonishing.
Damn the guy looks like shit. Okay lets go with defensive runs saved at least.

He had done nothing in his career to warrant it. It's just silly when he's a turd about to get flushed.

Fairly productive the past several years and was an all star last. Abviously has been shit since the second half of last year but no idea why it's bad for fans to welcome the new guy. The deal is done and you can't untrade a prospect for him at that point.

With the injuries he hasn't been that bad to have around. Still really stings that the price paid was for a quality starter rather than bench depth guy that otherwise hasnt been better than the guy he was supposed to replace or even to platoon with.

Because it's self-aggrandizing schlock.

Most of the people giving the guy an ovation have no earthly idea who he is, it's just the new guy to them. Well where the hell was their ovation for Cishek? Broxton? Piscotty?

This was just a bunch of 'gee shucks' fans wanting to feel good about themselves so they applauded a guy who's done nothing to help this team win and in fact has actively impeded those efforts.

When everyone's special, nobody's special. If you're giving standing ovations to throwaway trash like Brandon Moss just because he's wearing the birds on his chest, then the ovations mean absolutely nothing.

Wow. This is just wrong.

He's absolutely been bad to have around. Abysmally bad, in fact. Scruggs, Garcia, Pham - they'd have all been better than Moss. The only person he's been an improvement over has been Dan Johnson and nothing ever made sense about Dan Johnson being on a major league roster.

He cannot catch. He cannot throw. He cannot hit and he cannot run. He does absolutely nothing well on a baseball field but because of the cost to acquire him, Matheny keeps trotting his worthless ass out there to suck. Greg Garcia could be actually helping this team with the roster spot that Moss is sucking up and yet he's not.

Yes, Brandon Moss has been bad to have around. He's been terrible to have around. He's been marginally more valuable to the Cardinals than you would have been and as far as I know, you're a wheelchair bound 80 yr old woman who types with her tongue. It wouldn't matter because Brandon Moss has been that !@#$ing bad.

We wouldn't have had to play with 24 guys if he wasn't on this team - we'd have been allowed to put someone on the roster that WASN'T Brandon Moss. That would have been an improvement.

So with Cruz, Kozma and Moss all occupying spots on this roster, as well as a 13 man pitching staff (when dipshit Matheny will steal leave Garcia out there to give up the go-ahead run despite obviously tiring), We're essentially playing with a 20 man roster at this point.

Sounds like your problem is with the fans giving the ovation.
