Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

I'm not sure about Geno. When WV got behind he kind of just faded away. KC needs a leader at QB. I don't really see him as a top 10 pick. I'm not even sure he's a first rounder.

This seems like a bad year for QBs and that sucks because we really need one. If I had to pick, I would take Wilson if I had my choice. I know this probably isn't the popular choice but, it's the way I see it.

Need more evidence on Geno. Realize I am in the minority, and my opinion could change. But TT is not that good, and Geno was pedestrian at best.

and even if you were right, i'd rather 'reach' (so risky!) for a QB than any other position...as it is far and away the most important position

but we'll continue along not 'reaching' (too risky) for QBs while drafting DL and pretending somehow we'll accomplish something...

The Tony Romo, Vince Young, Mike Vick backwards hat thing bothers me. We need a grown up at QB. Our QB needs to be a leader. I think Smith is smart but, he's not a leader imo.

I know he's a smart guy and was in gifted classes as a kid and what not. I'm not saying he is dumb. I am saying he has got some leadership issues and hasn't grown up yet. Wilson seems to be the only real leader out of the bunch.
