F*****G Ticketmaster

So today my friend and I try to buy Tool tickets for the show at Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie and it's the usual bs. My friend can't get in and then it took me 4 tries to get pit tickets. We needed 7 tickets but I could only cover 3 so my friend was going to grab the other 4. Luckily I got in when I did because at 10:07 the show was sold out (went on sale at 10) and then pit tickets were posted on stub hub for $542.

On top of all that there were an additional $17.25 in additional fees so an $80 ticket jumped to $97 and then there was another $5 service charge for the overall order. Goddamn 20% of face value fees and 17.7% of total purchase was fees. **** TICKETMASTER!

IIRC Didn't they get in trouble for exorbitant fees before?

I agree Ticket Master is one of the biggest rip offs going right now. How in the fug are they not a monopoly. I avoid going to shows that the only way to get in is through the shafting of Ticket Master. Which leaves you sitting out of a bunch of venues.

The thing I don't get is why they charge you for the print at home tix, but they'll mail them to you for free. Does not compute.

We're going to a Flight of the Conchords concert tomorrow night, and the tix for that are $38 on the ticket, but cost close to $55 after all the damn fees.

Concert prices are insane!

Fug tickmaster-I blame the artist for using them.
The highest tickets were $80. The scalpers (scalping er sorry ticket brokering is legal for the most part in TX) flooded Ticketmaster's site which made it hard to get it (similar to the shit that was happening at the sprint center). The show was sold out in 7 minutes and no less than 3 minutes later the pit tickets were on stub hub for a high price of $542. Nokia Theater is a pretty big place and the fact it sold out in 7 minutes is ridiculous.

I saw Tool once in like 2002.

It was pretty kick-ass. But that's probably because they played a ton of shit from Aenima and Undertow. I wouldn't care to see them play anymore.

Use the fan club 4 days earlier. Yes it cost $20 dollars but I got the limit and go for free?

I am an ass but I go for free. Knowledge is king. I went to Lynerd Skynerd in Atlanta after paying $20 for "fan" club but made $400 and had 4th row tickets.

Knowledge is power, Otherwise it would be like Gaython teaching a sex class.

Exactly, musical taste is so individually biased. I really like some of Tools songs, just I enjoy more Offspring songs.

This thread just turned reeruned. The Offspring are fun and all I guess, but Tool are one of the best rock bands of all time.

That does not make sense. You didn't like Lateralus or 10,000 Days?
