It's time to start signing up for this year's gambling challenge.

I will cut this off at 57 participants and last year's players have first dibs at their spots. I know some of the people in the list below will not re-up because I don't see them post anymore, so I'm pretty sure there will be a few spots open for new players.

For last year's players:
Please indicate in this thread whether or not you intend to participate again. I will change the color of your name below to GREEN to indicate you are signed up.

IMPORTANT!! YOU HAVE UNTIL FRIDAY, AUGUST 30TH AT 6:00 PM CENTRAL TO SIGN UP. AFTER THAT TIME, I WILL START FILLING SPOTS FROM THE WAITING LIST.

For potential new players:
Please indicate in this thread that you would like to be placed on the waiting list. After the deadline for returning players passes, I will fill the empty spots on a first come, first served basis.

As a reminder, here is a brief rundown of the rules:

You are given $10,000 to start out and can bet up to $5,000 on any one bet. There is a $500 minimum bet unless you have less than that in which case you would be all in.
Payouts are at 90% unless otherwise stated. –170 would mean you have to bet $170 to win $100. +250 would mean you would get a $250 payout on every $100 bet.
You must bet at least once every 3 weeks or you are eliminated. If you cannot commit to participating at least this much please let us know now so somebody else can take your place.
- You must place a wager in the first two weeks of the season, or your spot in the competition will be given to someone on the waiting list. This is ONLY for the beginning of the season. After the first three weeks, inactive spots will not be filled from the waiting list!
Contingency bets are allowed. If you are using contingency bets, please indicate the order of your bets.
There are no parlays.
All bets must be placed before the scheduled opening kickoff of the game.
You can also change your original bet as long as that game has not kicked off yet, BUT DO NOT EDIT YOUR ORIGINAL POST! Editing your original post is subject to immediate dismissal from the competition. If you wish to change your bet, quote your original bet and state what you want to change it to. Any other method will not be allowed and the original bet will stand!

This is only valid for the start of the season. It happens more often than not.

Mkay. So, say that happens, and I bet in week 3, do I get that spot for the rest of the season, even if the original person wants back in?

Also, if this happens in say week 8, do I still get a spot?

Yes, and it is your spot to keep as long as you want each season.

My expectations for making it this year are about as low as my position on the waiting list..Not good...

Is there any possibility of carrying the waiting list forward into the coming seasons? I missed last year by one or two slots as well. Anyways, kudos to you for the work you put in on this.
