Just found out my dog has cancer of the blood
Had him for about 4 years. He has had bad leg for about a month. So far so good. My last dog lasted 2 weeks after being diagnosed. Just found out.

Well, given the proven links between herbicides and how common it is for people to spray toxic chemicals all over their house and yards I think that's a player.

Perhaps diet too. The quality of the cheaper dog food only gets worse.

I mean I'm sure that pure bred dogs are more prone to this due to their lack of variation, but it does seem like it's more common now than it was.

I just got a pup, and I want him to be around for 10+ years.

Just put him down last night. The Vets where great. Now my mornings are messed up since I don't have to feed him and take him out.

I had 2 dogs and had to put one down in January. I can sympathize with the morning routine, even with one dog it is thrown off. Try to get off the forum and get outside today and reflect on your buddy then go visit a shelter this week.

Sorry for your loss. My mom and dad had to put down their 2 year old German Shepherd last year. It was pretty tough. Meanwhile I have notified Chief dog that he has to outlive me. There is pretty much no other option.

I have a co-worker who is foster parent for dogs so I was going to talk with her to see what's available first. They just busted a puppy mill this past week that had over 170 dogs.

That's how I got Daisy she is still with us(my wife dog) was going thru the paper work to be approved. Will see.
