I figured I would start a thread for this and see what happens....there seemed to be quite a few viewers on the board for this show the past few weeks.....I like the direction the show is taking so far......episode 3 tonight at 7 central on ABC....

Overall, it is still a good show, but last night was completely unbelievable. Jack thinks he can take on 30 armed people who have him completely surrounded. The Others talk about the plane people as being guests, but yet Jack doesn't say that they don't want to be guests, they want off.

PS: I'd like to see a split between men of science and men of faith and have a three part war.

See Bob Dole's note above about Alex. And note that Jack did not think there were 30 armed people, you really do need to pay attention.

I share your frustration, but I've come to accept that this is just a different kind of show. It's not meant to be watched like any other show. It's not a passive experience. It demands the viewer get involved. You have to Tivo episodes and go back and watch them and freeze-frame stuff. Or you have to go to a website and read about all the clues and subliminal stuff.

I actually think this would work better as a DVD-only production, with easter eggs and stuff to access as you watch it. It would be easier than watching it in real time, week-to-week, where you miss/forget stuff.

I actually don't know why I watch it every week. I suspect there's some kind of subliminal message broadcast in each episode that compels me to tune in every 7 days.

Jack called his bluff, then the guy yelled light 'em up and about 30 torches surrounded them. Even a man of science would likely conclude that they were now ****ed.

definitely, Jack called his bluff and got smoked

Somebody mentioned Sawyer's attempt to shoot beardface. I think he did get shot by somebody else before he actually fired. But considering the electromagnetic stuff goin on, it may have been his own bullet. I was wondering the same thing while watching last night.

Bob Dole doesn't think there were 30 and there wasn't really any evidence that they were all armed. Bob Dole would agree with your general principle, though. A DVR setting screwed the pooch and didn't record it though, so Bob Dole can't go back and count.

The most significant thing Bob Dole caught was that Zeke quoted Alvar Hanso.

Yes, Zeke quoted Hanso, and the picture link I posted in supports the trail leading up to last nights show that he is the Dr. in the video. Also important your point about Alex, eventually Danielle would be back, so here it is.

My wife had heard that the actor playing Walt had hit a major growth spurt in the off-season, so they have tried to effectively write him out for this season, with a new kid assuming the role next year. Maybe they are writing Michael out for a bit as well. BTW, I hate it when shows switch actors like that.

I'm sure someone mentioned it, but on that Hanso site, if you go to "active projects" and put your cursor just under the last one listed...

You'll see the name Dharma Initiative appear and it links to the video.

Went to the link posted...not sure I found anything coincidental about it. It was a cafepress site selling old stuff.
