Time to make a choice with the draft pick.
What choice would you make if the board feel like this (no poll, just reply with your preferred option):
1. Jags: EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux, Oregon 2. Lions: QB Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh 3. Texans: EDGE Aidan Hutchinson, Michigan 4. Jets: EDGE George Karlaftis, Purdue 5. Giants: OL Evan Neal, Alabama 6. Panthers: QB Malik Willis, Liberty 7. Giants: EDGE David Ojabo, Michigan 8. Falcons: QB Sam Howell, North Carolina 9. Broncos: DT Jordan Davis, Georgia 10. Jets: CB Derek Stingley, LSU 11. WFT: CB Ahmad Gardner, Cincinnati 12. Vikings: EDGE Jermaine Johnson, Florida State 13. Browns: WR Garrett Wilson, Ohio State 14. Ravens: OT Charles Cross, Mississippi State 15. Eagles: S Kyle Hamilton, Notre Dame 16. Eagles: CB Trent McDuffie, Washington 17. Chargers: DL DeMarvin Leal, Texas A&M 18. Saints: WR Treylon Burks, Arkansas 19. Eagles: DL Travon Walker, Georgia 20. Steelers: IOL Tyler Linderbaum, Iowa 21. Patriots: LB Devin Lloyd, Utah 22. Raiders: LB Damone Clark, LSU 23. Cardinals: CB Roger McCreary, Auburn 24. Cowboys: OT Trevor Penning, Northern Iowa 25. Bengals: OT Nick Petit-Frere, Ohio State 26. Dolphins: OL Ikem Ekwonu, North Carolina State 27. Bills: CB Andrew Booth, Jr., Clemson 28. Lions: WR Wan'Dale Robinson, Kentucky 29. Chiefs: First of all, no I don't care that we're projected in this mock at 29 instead of 32. Just answer the question. Here's the remaining top tier talent on the board, in my silly estimation: QB Matt Corral, Ole Miss -- smaller QB who is technique-sound and an athletic scrambler QB Carson Strong, Nevada -- accurate Air Raid QB with a great arm but will need refinement WR Chris Olave, Ohio State -- explosive, superb route runner with pretty good hands WR Jahan Dotson, Penn State -- slightly smaller WR with great hands and good route-running and elite speed WR Alec Pierce, Cincinnati -- a true X receiver with great hands and pretty good speed, will need development WR Justyn Ross, Clemson -- big, physical receiver built for high-pointing the ball but not much else TE Jalen Wydermyer, Texas A&M -- an extremely versatile TE with decent speed and hands OT Abraham Lucas, Washington State -- long, smart tackle who will need some refinement OT Bernhard Raimann, Central Michigan -- absurdly athletic tackle who will need lots of refinement OT Rasheed Walker, Penn State -- finesse tackle with length/athleticism who will need development OG Darian Kinnard, Kentucky -- built for the Chiefs offense; huge guard who excels in pass pro with tackle flexibility OG Kenyon Green, Texas A&M -- road grader who tackle flexibility DT Phidarian Mathis, Alabama -- outstanding run defender and passrushing 3-tech; technician EDGE Drake Jackson, USC -- smaller, bendy passrusher who needs lots of development EDGE Arnold Ebiketie, Penn State -- passrush specialist who will need lots of development LB Nakobe Dean, Georgia -- light, athletic Will LB who will need a season to get to what he can become CB Jermaine Waller, Virginia Tech -- extremely physical CB who fits the Spags profile but needs refinement S Daxton Hill, Michigan -- free safety type who can play nickel, smaller but very athletic Of course, you can always pick your own favorites as well. |

I'm running the card to the podium with Chris Olave's name on it.

I didn't think Jermaine Waller was that high on draft boards yet, but he's the playmaking CB I'm talking about. I haven't dug into a lot of prospects outside UVA/VT but I say gimme Ebiketie the pass rush specialist.

I would take Drake Jackson if I'm going DE, but with Olave AND Drake London on the board here, I'd probably nab one of them. I really like London's profile, and the USC WR room has been turning out polished guys who pick things up quickly, run good routes, and have good versatility.
I wouldn't refer to Jackson as a "smaller" pass rusher. He's 6-4 and has played effectively in weight ranges from 250 pounds to 270 pounds. He needs some refinement, but he's a really great athlete. I'd be tempted to work the phones, too, and see if the Bucs want to come up a few spots and get one of those QBs.

If thats the board, Doctson would be my pick. Maybe he's redundant with what we have, but that speed would be fun.

I agree. He'd be a good fit for this offense.

I wouldn't complain about that pick, either.

According to this Dotson is 5’11” 184 lbs and runs a 4.33. With how good his hands and routes are? Yeah he’s my pick

He excels with after the catch stuff too. Pretty much ideal for this offense.
I watched alot of Penn State this year. he's good. |

If we're at 29 and Chris Olave is still there, that's who I'd pick.

Boy that would be a nice board.
I like the options at WR better in the 2nd and 3rd rounds than I do other positions and I just don't know if Williams is exactly the kind of WR we need (though he could be damn interesting in a sort of Jeremy Maclin to Tyreek Hill's DeSean Jackson role). Olave is a fire and forget X receiver but with a limited ceiling, IMO. For me it would come down to Drake Jackson or Nakobe Dean. I'm pretty sure I'd go with Jackson. Leal going to the Chargers and then Walker going to the Eagles damn near back to back would really piss me right off, though.

I don't know about that projection they have out now, but that'd be a hell of a tough decision between Chris Olave, Nakobe Dean, and Cameron Thomas.
I can live without a WLB for sure this early. As for Olave, I think he's going to be good but I also think the WR classes lately are so deep you don't need to press the issue. I'd go with Cameron Thomas, I think he's going to be at least a Trey Hendrickson type of player.
