With the DayZ standalone playable alpha release looming, I thought I would check out the mod version of the game. http://dayzdev.tumblr.com/

If you dont know, DayZ is an open world survival zombie game modification based off of the military sim ArmA 2 games. www.dayzmod.com

Basically its hardcore mode survival against zombies and even more dangerous, other players.

I have been watching vids for months and took advantage of a steam sale today to pick up ArmA 2.

Anyone playing DayZ right now? Servers? Thoughts? I have a teamspeak we can use!

I was on late and I ran my happy ass to NW Airfield. It took about an hour and a half to get there, but the tents are spawning loot! So far I have a ton of ammo and every attachment for an M4...just no M4 . Also, ass ton of magazines!

... that is PERFECT. I am at the NW airfield myself! I have an ammo box full of 223 and 45. I'm looking for an acog but do have optics. I'm also looking for the bipod for the M4 which is impossible to find.

Ton of food and drink. I'm ready to roll into Berezino and hole up for a long while.
