Dan Marino files concussion lawsuit
Dan Marino files concussion lawsuit PHILADELPHIA -- Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino is among the latest group of football players to file a concussion-related lawsuit against the National Football League. The 52-year-old former Miami Dolphins quarterback is one of 15 former players who filed a lawsuit in federal court in Philadelphia last week. Marino and the other 14 plaintiffs join more than 4,800 others who have alleged the NFL misled players about the long-term dangers of concussions. The NFL has denied those claims. The lawsuit doesn't specify any medical problems suffered by the plaintiffs including Marino, who retired in 1999. It seeks unspecified damages and medical monitoring. The NFL and the original group of players agreed on a $765 million settlement last August. But the settlement was rejected by a federal judge in January. Loochy files stress lawsuit
Loochy files stress lawsuit
Loochy has sued his current employer for causing undue stress in his life. This stress has resulted in facial wrinkles, moderate hair loss, and a higher than desired bodyfat percentage. Additionally, this stress has caused blood pressure spikes that will undoubtedly result in major cardiac issues in the future. Loochy's employer maintains that they give employees ample "work/life" balance and employees are encouraged to take vacation when needed. Loochy refutes these claims and demands 5 trillion dollars in damages.

Football from the grass roots level to the NFL is part of American culture. That being the case I have a hard time laying the blame on the NFL for the victims of post concussion syndrome. Maybe the fans should be sued for yelling at their players to get up and shake it off.

Didn't Marino score like a 12 on the Wunderlic? His brain was broke before he even came into the league.

Report: Marino to withdraw from concussion lawsuit
BY SPORTS NETWORK THE SPORTS NETWORK 06/03/2014 1:34 PM 06/03/2014 1:34 PM Story Comments (SportsNetwork.com) - Dan Marino is in discussions to withdraw his name from a lawsuit filed against the NFL over concussions, according to a report. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel, citing an unnamed source, reported on Tuesday that the legendary quarterback never intended to be a part of the suit filed in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia with 14 other former players and was working to discover how his name was attached to it. Multiple outlets reported a concern by Marino that his involvement with the suit would jeopardize a possible future position with the Miami Dolphins. Marino, 52, played all 17 of his NFL seasons for the Dolphins and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005. Thousands of former players have claimed in suits that the NFL withheld information about the long-term effects of concussions. After the NFL and a group of players reached a $765 million settlement last August, U.S. District Court Judge Anita Brody ruled in January to withhold approval of the money, saying she needed more information from both sides. No specific symptoms were alleged in the latest lawsuit filed by the 15 former players, including Marino. According to the Sun-Sentinel, Marino has said in the past he suffered two reported concussions during his career.

Now that you mention it, that should have been part of the settlement. Include Wonderlic score in the calculation of damages and awards. If Pacman scored a 6 or something, does an NFL concussion really make a difference in how he functions?

I have a hard time believing they attached his name without some sort of signature from him. I bet he probably signed up for it then when the bad publicity came out him and his agent probably started the spin on it.
