We got average grades last year yet we drafted Mahomes and Hunt

It just doesn't matter

We were never going to get good grades this year. We didn't have as much a need for flashy skill players. We were targeting big uglies in the 2nd round and later. That'll never get good grades

Either way, it can't be any lower than the Rams draft grade, and they've already been crowned NFC Champions

Rarely if ever. But it's still funny imagining walterfootball chewing our asses up for drafting a bunch of reaches.

I bet you're right, pundit grades will probably be pretty awful... there isnt much instantly recognizable name sizzle

But Veach cut his teeth as a scout, and has pounded the table for some genuine doozies over the years... so he has my benefit of the doubt for now

i'd like to see less zone in on specific guys then give up lots of picks to get em no matter what and a balance of grabbing some value picks w/out giving up picks

Veach made his bones as a scout, give this draft a chance before lighting your hair on fire

I'm going along with you on this, Easy. There's not one player in this draft that's ever practiced with a NFL team, let alone played a snap in the NFL. Let's see how they look in rookie camp at least before we bring out the tar and feathers.

This is where I am as well. I'm always willing to give a new coach or GM the benefit of the doubt. Maybe we look back and see this draft as Veach trying to be the smartest man in the room. Time will tell.

His instincts have served him very well so far, I'm just not inclined to believe they suddenly failed him now that he sits in the big chair... at a minimum, the black Irishman and Speaks will prove to be players IMO

THIS!

Look at our grades from last year. Average at best. Mahomes and Hunt are not an average draft. Let the draft breathe before we start trashing it and predicting doom.

Would've been a D+ had it not been for the Armani Watts pick.

They traded up when they didn't have to, and reached like hell for every player they traded up for.

*edit*
In fact, I'll go ahead and say this was a very D+ draft for KC. I have no reason to give them anymore credit than I already have.

Very disappointing draft for KC.

After a draft choice is made you never Hera the next GM say “Damn. That’s the player that I was going to draft.” You will never know.
